（一）Step 1 热身：元音字母的“另一副面孔”
上一课我们认识了五个元音字母的开音节长音（/e / /i / /a / / / /ju /）。We come from vowel（元音）family. How to pronounce them
本课认识它们的“另一副面孔”——五个短音：a / /　e /e/　i / /　o / /　u / /。We all have different identities（不同的身份）.

思路点拨：一字母两读音：闭音节（无词尾 e）发短音，开音节（辅+元+辅+e）发本音——本课聚焦短音。
（二）Step 2 1 听五个短音（课本 p.15）
1 Listen and repeat. Pay attention to the sounds.（课本 p.15）a / /：cat　map；e /e/：bed　pet；i / /：pig　sing；o / /：hot　dog；u / /：cup　duck
发音要领——/ /：舌尖抵下齿，舌前部稍抬起，双唇平伸，成扁平形；/e/：短元音，舌尖抵下齿，舌前部稍抬起；/ /：舌尖抵下齿，舌部肌肉比 /i / 放松，唇形扁平，开口比 /i / 大些；/ /：舌身尽量降低并后缩，舌后部抬起，口形稍圆，发音短促；/ /：舌身后缩至口腔中部，舌后部稍抬起，双唇较扁，开口较大，发音短促。
思路点拨：照镜子练五个短音口型，每个读三遍，感受开口大小的差别。
（三）Step 3 长短音对比：五个字母的两副面孔
以课文中五个元音字母的自述短诗为线索（每个字母都有闭音节短音与开音节长音两种“身份”）：
a：短音 / /——land　Jack　cat　hand　bag；长音 /e /——made　came　cake　gave（a-e 结构）
i：短音 / /——fish　river　swim　pig；长音 /a /——kite　hike　like　nice（i-e 结构）
o：短音 / /——frog　on　rock　fox　off　top　pond；长音 / /——roses　wrote　note　coke（o-e 结构）
u：短音 / /——duck　under　rug　cup；长音 /ju /——huge　cube　mule　tube（u-e 结构）
magic Ee（神奇的 e）三种角色：①夹在单词中间 -e- 发 /e/（bed　ten　let　best　neck）；②在单词末尾 -e 发 /i /（he　she　we）；③与元音字母组合时不发音，让元音发本音（huge　rose　kite　nose　make　rice）。

思路点拨：自制卡片：左边写短音词（cap）右边写长音词（cape），对照着读——五个字母各做一组。
（四）Step 4 2 听词归类与 3 拼读（课本 p.15）
2 Listen to the words. Put them into the correct groups.（课本 p.15）十个单词：up　dad　Chinese　dress　five　it　coke　late　mute　pot

（五）Step 5 4 朗读歌谣与随堂检测
4 Listen and read the chant aloud.（课本 p.15）
Hey there, Big Cat. / Let's go to the lake. / Come with me and Dog, / And Fox and Frog! / We will listen to music, / And find flowers red and pink. / We will sit in the sun, / Tell jokes and have fun.
Chant again. Group and write.——把歌谣中的单词按十个元音音分组：lake→/e /；find→/a /；go、joke→/ /；me、we→/i /；cat、have→/ /；sun、fun→/ /；big、sit、in、with、will、listen→/ /；let、tell→/e/；dog、fox、frog→/ /；music→/ju /。
当堂完成随堂检测，答案见各题下方。

易错提醒
注意：/ / 与 /e/ 别混——cat 的嘴张得比 bed 大；/ / 是松元音，不能读成长音 /i /（pig 不是 peeg）。
注意：magic e 本身不发音，但它是长音的“开关”——cap /k p/ 加 e 变 cape /ke p/，词义读音全变。
注意：up / p/ 与 cup 同音组；mute 是 u-e 开音节读 /mju t/——词尾 e 不发音。
注意：第 5 题 he 的 e 发 /i / 是词尾 -e 的特殊规则；leg 的 e 发短音 /e/——位置不同读音不同。
答题技巧
短音口诀：a 张大嘴 / /、e 咧嘴笑 /e/、i 短促扁平 / /、o 圆唇收小 / /、u 舌居中 / /。
判断长音短音先看词尾：有“辅+元+辅+e”结构读长音（本音），没有则读短音。
归类读一遍单词→抓元音读音→对号入座；Chinese / t a ni z/ 的 i 发 /a /、末尾 e 发 /i /，别只归一组就完。
单选先读题干词抓元音音，再读选项找同音——o-e 组 / /、u-e 组 /ju /、a-e 组 /e /、i-e 组 /a /、词尾 -e 组 /i /。
语言点归纳
五个元音字母长短音对照：/ / /e /、/e/ /i /、/ / /a /、/ / / /、/ / /ju /；
闭音节（无词尾 e）→短音；开音节（辅+元+辅+e）→本音长音；
词尾 -e 单独结尾发 /i /（he / she / we）；词尾 e 不发音时起“开音节开关”作用。
