Step 1 锣鼓热身 导入故事 (4’) ① 播放春节鞭炮音效，出示灯笼、福字图片，提问 What festival are they for ② 引出故事课题：Today we will read a story about the Spring Festival — The story of Nian。板书课题。 ① 抢答 Spring Festival。 ② 齐读课题，带着好奇进入故事。
Step 2 场景一 故事起因 (9’) ① 出示 Scene 1 图，提问 Why are the villagers running 引导预测。 ② 播放录音，学生跟读文本，圈出核心词汇 monster, afraid, run away。 ③ 讲解 be afraid of + 名词（I am afraid of dogs.）与 run away（因害怕快速离开）。 ④ 板书句型：Why are you running / We are all afraid of it. ⑤ 组织同桌“角色问答”：一人扮 Old man，一人扮 Villager，抽 2 组展示。 ① 观察图片预测故事起因。 ② 跟读文本，圈画核心词汇。 ③ 造句体会 be afraid of 的用法。 ④ 同桌互演问答，尝试：Why are you running Because the monster Nian will come.
Step 3 场景二 老人妙计 (9’) ① 过渡：The old man didn't run away. What did he do 出示 Scene 2 图，提问 How does Nian feel Why ② 听读文本，圈出 red paper, candles, bright lights, fireworks, loud noises。 ③ 板书句型：I hate the colour red! / I hate bright lights! / I hate loud noises! / The old man set off fireworks. 讲解 set off（点燃、燃放）。 ④ 组织“情景模仿秀”：Nian 捂耳皱眉说 I hate...，Old man 点烟花喊 Aha!，要求加入动作与语气。 ① 预测老人的办法。 ② 跟读文本，圈画词汇。 ③ 朗读句子，读出 Nian 的恼怒语气。 ④ 两人一组即兴表演，用动作和语气演绎对话。
Step 4 场景三 习俗由来 (9’) ① 过渡：Nian ran away! What happened next 出示 Scene 3 图，提问 Are the villagers happy Why ② 听读文本，圈出文化词汇 Spring Festival, couplets, fu。 ③ 板书：All our animals are safe! / From then on, people... This is why... 讲解 This is why... 的用法（I got up late. This is why I was late for school.）。 ④ 组织“习俗配对赛”：图片与短语快速配对 paste fu / set off fireworks / paste Spring Festival couplets，最快小组获胜。 ① 观察图片，说出村民的心情。 ② 跟读文本，圈画文化词汇。 ③ 造句练习 This is why...。 ④ 参加配对赛，快速说出习俗短语。
Step 5 梳理复述 分幕表演 (7’) ① 全班一起梳理故事链：Villagers were afraid of Nian → the old man used red paper, lights and fireworks → Nian ran away → people celebrate the Spring Festival。 ② 分组选择一幕排练角色扮演，要求完整演绎对话与动作。 ③ 邀请 1-2 组上台展示，其余学生从语音语调、动作表情两方面评价。 ① 借助板书故事链复述故事脉络。 ② 小组分工排练选定的一幕。 ③ 上台表演，互相评价学习。
Step 6 小结升华 布置作业 (2’) ① 提问 Why do we paste fu and set off fireworks at the Spring Festival 引导学生用 This is why... 回答。 ② 文化升华：一个传说，藏着中国人对平安团圆的期盼。 ③ 布置作业与课后检测。 ① 用 This is why... 解释习俗由来。 ② 说说自己对“过年”的新理解。 ③ 明确作业与检测要求。
