I am going to introduce you to a true local hero. Her name is Zhang Guimei.
She was born in Heilongjiang, but she has spent over 40 years working in poor areas in Yunnan. She built the first free high school for girls in China. She gave everything for girls’ education. To help the girls realise their dreams, she worked from morning to night. Her efforts have helped over 2,000 girls go to university and change their lives. She is a great teacher who never gives in. Her example continues to encourage us to work hard.
I am deeply moved by her great love. She is a true hero!
