Unit 3 Lesson 1 A Let's talk.让我们说一说。
Dad: Jiaming, let's plant some radishes, OK
爸爸: 家明，我们来种些小萝卜，好吗？
Jiaming: Great! How do we plant them
家明: 好呀！我们要怎么种呢？
Dad: Here is a list of the key steps. Have a look.
爸爸: 这里有一份关键步骤清单。你看看。
Jiaming: OK. First, get some seeds, soil and a pot.
家明: 好的。第一步，准备一些种子、土壤和花盆。
Do we have them all
这些我们都有吗？
Dad: Yes. Here they are.
爸爸: 有，都在这里。
Jiaming: OK. Second, put the seeds in the soil.
家明: 好的。第二步，把种子放进土里。
Third, water the soil. Fourth, put the pot in the sun.
第三步，给土壤浇水。第四步，把花盆放在阳光下。
Last, harvest the radishes in about 30 days.
最后，大约 30 天后就可以收获萝卜了。
It sounds very easy. I can't wait. Let's do it now!

Mr Li: Jiaming, please tell us how you planted your radishes.
李老师：家明，请给我们讲讲你是怎么种小萝卜的。
Jiaming: OK. On the first day, I put some seeds in some soil
家明：好的。第一天，我把一些种子放进土里，然后给它们浇水。
and watered them.
On the fifth day, tiny plants came out of the soil.
第五天，小苗从土里钻了出来。
Mr Li: How many leaves did you see
李老师：你看到了几片叶子？
Jiaming: Two tiny leaves on each plant at first,
家明：一开始每株植物上有两片小小的叶子，
and on the fourteenth day, I saw more leaves.
到了第十四天，我看到了更多的叶子。
Mr Li: Great! What happened then
李老师：太棒了！后来发生了什么？
Jiaming: From the sixteenth day, the plants grew bigger and
家明：从第十六天开始，植物长得越来越大。

Xiaoming found a tadpole in a pond.
小明在池塘里发现了一只蝌蚪。
It had a big head and a small tail.

He took it home in a small bottle.

It grew two legs on the second day.
