Announcer: The Unexpected Inventions exhibition will open next week! There, you can learn about great inventions and their inventors. The exhibition will take place at the City Museum. It starts on 1 May and ends on 30 May, from 9 am to 5 pm. Tickets cost 30 for adults and 15 for students. Children under 12 are free.
One exciting event is a talk by inventor Mary Brown. You can learn all about the qualities of a successful inventor. It starts at 10:30 am on the first day. Young inventors, remember to come!

Opening a talk
A good start can quickly catch the listeners’ attention. We can start by addressing the listeners directly, asking an interesting question, telling a story or sharing a famous saying.
Learning to learn
Host: Good morning, students. Welcome to our talk. You all want to be inventors, right But what makes an inventor Ms Mary Brown, can you give us some ideas
Mary Brown: Sure. First, inventors need to think differently. Here's an example. Spencer Silver invented a kind of glue, but it was very weak. Many people thought it was useless. But later, Arthur Fry found a new way to use the glue. What was it Yes, he invented the Post-it note!
Host: That's interesting. What else
Mary Brown: Inventors never give up. The Wright Brothers tried to invent the plane. They failed so many times. But they learnt from their mistakes and kept working. In the end, they succeeded.
Host: Thanks for sharing your ideas! They are helpful to our listeners!
