Units 1-4 期中复习语法讲义
语法点一：连接词与主谓一致（Unit 1）
一、核心语法讲解
1. both ... and ...两者都；not only ... but (also) ...不但……而且……。
2. either ... or ...要么……要么……；neither ... nor ...既不……也不……。
3. except除……之外（不包括）；as well as除……之外，也，还。
4. both ... and ...连接两个主语，谓语用复数；not only ... but (also) ...、
either ... or ...、neither ... nor ...连接主语时遵循就近原则。
5. A as well as B作主语时，谓语与A一致；A except B作主语时，也根据A确定谓语形式。
二、教材原句解析
Both Kitty and Simon are energetic.（both ... and ...连接主语，谓语用复数）
Not only the students but (also) their teacher has done the personality survey.
解析：has与最近的主语their teacher保持一致。
三、易错点提醒
并列成分的形式应一致；谓语形式不受as well as、except后名词单复数的影响。
She enjoys both reading and writing. / Tom as well as his friends is helpful.
语法点二：宾语从句（Units 1-2）
一、核心语法讲解
1. 连接词：that引导陈述内容，常可省略；if/whether意为“是否”；
what、who、whom、whose、which、when、where、why、how等保留原词义。
2. 语序：连接词 + 主语 + 谓语 + 其他，即陈述语序；疑问词作主语时，语序不变。
3. 时态：主句用现在时，从句根据实际需要；主句用过去时，从句一般用相应的过去时。
客观真理、普遍事实仍用一般现在时；人称和时间状语应根据语境调整。
二、教材原句解析
She hopes that she can be a teacher when she grows up.（that引导宾语从句）
They do not know who they can ask for advice either.（who作从句中ask的宾语）
三、易错点提醒
1. whether可直接接or not、用于介词后或不定式前；if一般不用在这些位置。
2. 区分if“是否”和“如果”：宾语从句中可用will，条件状语从句常用现在时表将来。
I wonder if he will come. If he comes, I will tell you.
语法点三：时间状语从句（Unit 3）
一、核心语法讲解
1. before在……之前；after在……之后；when当……时。
2. while当……时，常接持续性的动作或状态；强调两个动作同时进行时，常用进行时。
3. since自从……以来：主句常用现在完成时，从句常用一般过去时。
4. till/until直到……为止；not ... till/until ...直到……才……。
5. as soon as一……就……；whenever每当，无论何时。
6. 主句含将来意义时，时间状语从句通常用一般现在时表将来。
二、教材原句解析
I won't give up till I reach my goal.（主句表将来，从句用一般现在时）
Whenever I face a challenge, I think about my role model.（whenever意为“每当”）
三、易错点提醒
1. until可表示动作持续到某时，主句常用延续性动词；leave、go等常用not ... until结构。
2. 区分when“何时”的宾语从句和when“当……时”的时间状语从句。
I wonder when he will arrive. / I will call you when he arrives.
语法点四：动词-ing和-ed形式（Unit 4）
一、核心语法讲解
1. 作主语：单个动词-ing短语作主语，谓语通常用单数。Helping others makes me happy.
动词-ing也可作表语，如Her hobby is collecting stamps.（说明爱好的内容）
2. 作宾语：enjoy/finish/practise/mind/avoid/keep + doing；介词后也用doing。
3. 作宾补：see/hear/watch/catch/feel + sb + doing，强调动作正在进行；
see/hear/watch sb do sth常强调动作的全过程或经常性动作。
4. 作形容词：-ing通常说明“令人……的”特点；-ed通常说明“感到……的”状态。
作形容词时，可放在名词前或系动词后，如an interesting story、feel excited。
二、教材原句解析
Seeing them enjoying the food brings Amy great happiness.
解析：Seeing ...作主语；enjoying作宾语补足语；谓语用单数brings。
She was interested in the story. The story was interesting.
解析：interested说明她的感受；interesting说明故事的特点。
三、易错点提醒
1. 不简单记成“-ing修饰物，-ed修饰人”：an interesting teacher也是正确表达。
2. 注意搭配：be interested in doing；be satisfied with；be excited about。
3. 动词-ing作主语不等于进行时；形容词-ed也不等于一般过去时。

三、阅读理解
At the beginning of Grade 9, Lisa was worried about her English. She did not know how she could manage her time, and she wondered whether she was good at learning languages. Her teacher told her that making small improvements every day was important.

Life in Grade 9 brings both challenges and progress. Knowing our personalities and learning habits can help us improve.
I am both careful and patient, but sometimes I do not know how I can manage my time. I also used to wonder whether I could get good marks in English.
My teacher told me that practising every day was important. My English has improved since I began making plans. I do not take a break until I finish my homework. While I am reading, I pay attention to useful expressions.
Whenever I meet difficulties, I ask my teachers or classmates for advice. I will not give up easily, and I will take action as soon as I make a decision. Now I am more interested in learning new things and satisfied with my progress.
Helping my classmates and sharing learning methods also make me happy. I believe that we can have a more meaningful school life if we keep working hard.
