Plan your time carefully. When you plan your week, you should make a list of things that you have to do. After making this list, you should make a schedule. First set your time for eating, sleeping, sports, etc. Then decide a good and enough time for studying. ▲ A weekly schedule may not make you the best, but it will make you know what is happening to your time.
Find a good place to study. Look around the house for a good study area. It may be a desk or a corner of your room, with only things for study. No games, radios, or television! When you sit down to study, keep your mind on the subject.
Make good use of your time in class. Listen to everything the teachers say. Listening in class carefully means less work later. Taking notes will also help.
Have daily study. When you get home from school, read your notes before doing your homework. Read the text that your teacher is going to teach the next day. This will help you understand the importance of the next class.

My husband and I were taking care of Lizzy, our daughter Debra's pet dog, on April 17 while Debra was in hospital. We received a message from our son-in-law, Joe, that Debra was about to give birth. Tom and I sprang from our chairs suddenly. It's a tradition in our family to wait at the hospital of a birth. This would be Debra and Joe's first child,

Soon, she ran into a safer area and back to our street, With the help of six strangers, we caught her within a few minutes, everyone cheered, and we thanked the helpers again and again.

Chip was in first grade when I arrived at his school as a counselor (辅导员). It was shocking to me that he was described as an angry, uncontrollable and evil (惹人厌的) boy. How could such a little boy, after being in school only one year, be considered "evil" Over the next several months, I came to know Chip well enough to see that he was neither evil nor uncontrollable.
But, one day, Chip threw a chair at his teacher and was sent to my office. I asked him what made him do this. He replied that his teacher hated him. He felt there was no way to ever get her to like him. I asked him if he would tell his teacher this. He nodded, and we called her into my office.
When the teacher came, I encouraged Chip to express his feelings. He then said that he knew he was a very, very bad boy, and he didn't think anyone could ever like him. His teacher listened to him with heartfelt compassion. Then she gave him a big warm hug, telling him she didn't hate him at all and, actually, she cared very much about him. Only sometimes Chip's behavior really scared her. It was clear to both Chip and me that she really meant it.
I put my left arm on his shoulders and the right hand on his heart. I told him how wonderful and lovely I saw him to be. I praised how special and brave he was to express his hurt feelings.
As I was speaking to him,his whole body came to rest on my right hand next to his heart. It was a moment in time unlike anything I had experienced before. From then on, I'm pleased to see his behavior improved through the rest of school years.
A child's mind is clear and sensitive. He receives whatever others say without protection. It is as easy to consider someone hopeless as it is to consider him able in his own special way.

Maybe you won't think you can be the best student. However, anyone can become a better student if he or she wants to. Here's some advice.
Have a correct understanding about exams. An exam is to show what you learn about a subject. They help you remember your lessons.
