（一）although 和 though 引导的让步状语从句
让步状语从句表示即便出现从句中的情况，主句动
作仍然会发生。although和though意为“尽管，虽然，即
使”，常用来引导让步状语从句。#1
although和though在一般情况下可以互换使用，但
though多用于口语中，although更正式一些。
Although David has failed many times, he is always
full of hope for the future.尽管戴维失败了很多次，但
他总是对未来充满希望。
Chen Chao still sticks to teaching himself English though he
is busy working now.尽管陈超现在工作很忙，但他仍然
坚持自学英语。

在英语中,表示“虽然……但是……”时,although/though
不能和but在同一个句子中使用，但可以与yet、still同时
使用。
尽管这台机器老旧了,但是它依然运行良好。

（二）so ... that 和 such ... that引导的结果状语从句
结果状语从句用来补充说明主句动作所带来的结果。
so ... that与such ... that均意为“如此……以至于……”,都
可用来引导结果状语从句。
考向1 so ... that的用法
so ... that中so是副词，用来修饰形容词或副词，结
构为“so + 形容词/副词 + that ...”。
He was so worried that he didn’t sleep well last night.
他如此焦虑以至于昨晚没睡好。
He worked so hard that he passed the exam.他学习很
努力，因此通过了这次考试。
用法拓展
（1）当that引导的从句是否定句，且主从句的主语一致
时，可与too ... to ... 结构进行转换；若主从句的主语不
一致，可与“too ... for sb to ...”结构进行转换。
He is so young that he can’t go to school．→ He is
too young to go to school．他太小了，还不能去上学。#2.1
The bag is so heavy that she can’t move it.→
The bag is too heavy for her to move.这个袋子太重了，
她挪不动。
（2）当that引导的从句是肯定句，且主从句的主语一致
时，可与“... enough to do sth”结构进行转换；若主从
句主语不一致，可与“... enough for sb to do sth”结构
进行转换。#2.3
Tom is so old that he can go to school．→
Tom is old enough to go to school.汤姆足够大了，
可以去上学。
The question is so easy that I can work it out.→
The question is easy enough for me to work out.

考向2 such ... that的用法
such ... that中such是限定词，修饰名词或名词短语，
常用于以下结构：#1
such + a/an + 形容词 + 可数名词单数 + that ...
such + 形容词 + 可数名词复数/不可数名词 + that ...
He came to such a sudden stop that we almost hit him.
他突然停下来，我们差点撞上他。
He made such great progress that his teacher was very
happy.他取得了如此大的进步，老师非常开心。#1.3.2
用法拓展 （1）当形容词为many/much/few/little
（少的）时，只能用so，不能用such。当little表示“小的”
时，其前用such。
There are so many apples that I can’t eat them all.
苹果太多了，我吃不完。
They are such little children that they can’t understand
the story.孩子们太小了，他们不能理解这个故事。
（2）“so + adj.+ a/an + 可数名词单数 + that ...”有时
可与“such + a/an + adj.+ 可数名词单数 + that ...”进行
同义转换。
He is so honest a boy that everyone trusts him.=
He is such an honest boy that everyone trusts him.
他是一个非常诚实的男孩，大家都信任他。
（三）so that引导的目的状语从句
目的状语从句用以说明主句动作发生的目的。so that
意为“以便”，用来引导目的状语从句,可与in order that互
相替换，从句的谓语常含有can/could、may/might、
shall/should、would等情态动词。
I gave you a map so that （= in order that） you
wouldn’t get lost.我给你一张地图以免你迷路。#1.1
用法拓展 so that 还可引导结果状语从句，意为“因
此，所以”。此时从句谓语中通常不含情态动词。
He didn’t set his alarm clock, so that he was late for
work.他没有定闹钟，因此他上班迟到了。#1.2.1
