本节课是 Unit4 Section B（1a 2b）读写课，阅读文本是网络留言板上两篇学生发帖，加拿大学生 Mike Davis 与中国学生 Wu Binbin 分享各自本学期学习科目、最喜欢学科、喜欢理由以及未来梦想职业。
语篇属于新媒体网络帖子，包含头像、用户名、发布时间、点赞评论图标等网络界面元素。本课训练略读、寻读阅读策略；巩固学科词汇，复习连词and / but / because；对比中加初中课程设置异同。
1a 活动完成个人课程表书写；1b 1d 完成阅读任务：划学科、填表、问答、思维导图梳理信息；借助思维导图、挖空补全开展复述输出；最后迁移到谈论自己的学科喜好。
