Yesterday the police were joined by more than 20 volunteers in the continuing search for the two missing teenagers, Vicky Gray and Tom Hunter, and their guide, Gavin Jones. The police said that they had disappeared during an adventure (冒险) tour of Cape York Peninsula.
This was the second day of the search and the police were now very worried about the safety of the three missing people.
The police said that the search had covered a wide area, but the rainforest was thick and their work was made harder by the recent rain. Later on Chief Inspector (警官) Roger Fleet said, “The travellers had a radio with them. If they had been in trouble, they would have called us.”
The three travellers left Cooktown very early on Saturday morning in a Toyota car. They took a small dirt road that runs down to the Daintree River, a dangerous river full of crocodiles (鳄鱼). “If you’re busy preparing for your job interview now, you could learn a lot by watching this show,” says Joe Turner.
Mr. Turner says American Idol（美国偶像）has many lessons to teach an employee about making an impression in a job interview, especially selling your strengths and skills.
To win on American Idol, “you don’t have to be the best singer, just the most memorable singer,” he said. “Same for the job interview — you don’t have to be the best employee with the top skills, but you do have to be the most memorable employee worth being hired.”
The No.1 thing in an interview and a job search is knowing your audience. For American Idol competitors, the judges and voting（投票的）public are the audience; for job hunters, it’s the hiring manager.
Just as talented American Idol competitors lack confidence when singing the wrong song, job hunters can fail to be chosen when they fail to present their skills according to the employer’s needs.

Good morning, everyone. Today I'd like to give a lecture on cycling tours. Well, for anyone who is considering going on a tour, the first thing to consider is safety. So it's very important indeed to consider what you wear. Wear something that can easily be seen, red jackets, for example. You know many accidents happen, because drivers simply fail to see the cyclists. Second, don't try to ride too far, toe quickly. Take your time, and if you feel tired, stop and rest. Remember that the joy of cycling tours is the ride itself. Get close to nature and see things you wouldn't normally see when you were traveling by car or bus. And if you're planning your journey in the summer, take plenty of water. You are advised to drink at least one liter of water every hour. If the weather is not very warm, make sure you take some warm clothes. And put them on when you stop riding. Even in cold weather you can become very warm when you are riding and then it is very easy to catch a cold, or even get a fever when you stop.
