当代教学提倡“教为主导,学为主体”的课堂教育理念,注重对学生自主学习、合作学习的能力。这节英语课上,我用引入对话情景――练习操作――总结归纳——提出质疑――小组合作解疑――巩固总结来进行的。  
一、首先, 我通过谈论偶像,引出本节课话题,描述人的外貌特征。
二、本节课通过观察、描述,总结、对话、听录音读等方法让学生进行句型和语法的训练,并让学生 利用群学,对学,独学等形式来学习,让学生在练中学,在学中练,既学到了语法,又提高听、说能力,更重要的是提高了学生的口语交际能力。  
三、让学生把自己看作是课堂的主人,充分发挥他们小组的积极作用,让他们大胆发言,而不仅仅是拘泥于老师的讲授和老师被动地接受知识。有简单的问题组内统一解决,这样既节约了时间,也让学生体会自己学习知识的快乐。

一、 教材分析:
1.教材的地位及作用:
本课以physical?apperance为话题,以describle?people’s?looks为功能项目展开话题,并以此为依托,在目标语言的教学中,通过听说读写等教学活动,培养学生综合运用语言的能力,使学生能准备的用运英语进行交际,运用本课知识描述人物的外貌特征,为本单元知识的扩展奠定坚实的基础,并为后面学习形容词的比较级做好铺垫。
