Step 1: Brainstorming: job names
T:Good morning ,boys and girls!
Ss: Good afternoon,Miss Gao!
T: How are you Ss: I’m fine. And you
T: Fine,too.
2.Teacher show out a photo about Yaoming and ask the questions:
T:Who is he Ss:He is Yaoming.
T:Yaoming is a basketball player ,do you want to be a basketball player ,too Ss: Yes\No.
T: Different people will do different jobs , what jobs can you name OK, I will show a short vedio. After watching the vedio, please tell me what jobs are mentioned in it . Ss: ok.
3.Teacher show a vedio( about 2—3minutes )
T: What jobs are mentioned in the vedio.
S1: a computer programmer
S2 : a pilot
S3: a stunt actor
S4: a fortuneteller
T: Besides these jobs ,what other jobs do you know
Teachers let ss count out the following jobs as many as possible .
Step 2 : Practice sentence patterns .
T: There are so many jobs , what are you going to be
SS: I am going to be a ------- (ask several students )
T: How are you going to do that
SS: I am going to -----( Induce ss to finish the answers )
Teacher show some pictures and ask questions .
T: How about this boy \girl ,what’s he \she going to be in the future ( four pictures ) and how is he \she going to do that
S5: He is going to be a basketball player ---
S6 : She is going to be an engineer ----
S7: He is going to be a basketball player -----
S8 : She is going to be a singer-----
(Each question is answered by 3—5 students )
Step 3: Pariwork

A:--Why
B:--Because I think it’s a ---job, I want to --
A:--How are you going to do that
B:--I’m going to…
About 4 minutes later ,ask ss to act out the pairwork
Step 4 : listening
Finish 1b on page 59.
Teacher shows the picture of Page 60.
T: The boy’s name is Cheng Han,he has a good plan for the future , what’s his good plan Where is he going to move How is he going to be an actor When is he going to start (三个问题提前板书在黑板上) listen and finish the chart (Page 60 2b ), you will listen twice .
Ss listen carefully .
T: ok, check the answers , where is he going to move
S: He is going to move to New York .
T: How is he going to be an actor
S: He is going to take acting lessons .
T: When is he going to start
S: He is going to finish high school and college first .
T: Listen again and fill in the following blanks
SS: ok .

Step 5 : Repeat something about Chenghan .
T: students ,can you say something about Chengahn ‘s plan
SS: Yes ,I can
T: You can start like this : Cheng Han is a middle school student ,he is going to be an -- -- - - , understand
Teacher asks several students to say something about Chenhan.
T: Chenghan is a student , he has really a good plan ,the old saying says : a good plan is a good start , so can you tell me your future plan .
S: Yes , Miss Gao, I am going to be a doctor , I am going to work in Beijing ,how am I going to do that I am going to study hard and go to college in the future , I will try to study hard ----
(Teacher asks 3-4 students to answer )
