2) It (形式主语) is + adj. (for sb.) to do sth. (真正主语)

4. One 11-year-old boy, Liangliang, crosses the river

1） 11-year-old 为多个词汇构成的复合形容词，用连字符“-”链接，用来修饰名词 boy。这种结构还有很多，例如：
a four-day trip 一个四天的旅行
a 30-page book 一本30页的书
a three-room house 一个三间屋的房子
注意：
这里的“year, day, page, room”都要用单数。

2）cross 作动词用，“穿过，越过”的意思。主要表示
在物体表面上横穿，如：横过马路、过桥、过河等，
相当于 go across 。

afraid adj. “害怕的；畏惧的”;在句子中只能作表语。 常见句型有：
（1）be afraid “ …… 害怕的”

My sister is afraid of snakes. 我妹妹害怕蛇。
（3）be afraid to do sth. “害怕（不敢）做某事”
I’m afraid to speak in front of other people.
（4）be afraid of +v -ing “怕（担心）做某事”
I am afraid of falling into water.

like 在这里作介词，而不是动词。意思是“像…”。
