一、教材解读简析
本课是词汇新授Let’s learn及教学，内容选自PEP教材五年级下第四单元When is Easter中的A部分。本课内容是关于序数词（first, second, third, fourth, fifth）的词汇教学以及日期的表达。通过本课的学习，学生能掌握五个序数词的音、形、义，以及其它序数词的了解，同时，能加深对句型 — When is the _______? — It’s on ______. 的理解，进行对话运用。
二、教学目标与重难点
（一）教学目标
1. 知识目标：
(1) 学生能听懂、会说、会认读课文中出现的单词first, second, third, fourth, fifth, 并且能了解其正确的缩写形式。
(2) 学生能进一步加深对句型— When is the _______? — It’s on ______. 的理解与实际运用。
(3) 学生能听懂理解并会练习课文P39中出现的Ask and answer。
2. 能力目标：
(1) 学生能发展学习词汇时结合音素学习的能力
(2) 学生能发展思维、合作和交流、自我检测的能力。
3. 情感目标：
激发学生英语学习的兴趣，同时培养学生积极参与、乐于合作、大方交流的情感态度。
（二）教学重难点
1. 学生能清晰序数词词汇学习中的元音发音、缩写形式以及日期的表达；
2. 学生能清晰句型— When is the _______? — It’s on ______.的运用；
3. 学生能发展思维解决生活中实际问题，提升英语学习的综合运用能力。
