1. It' s really interesting,isnt记那里非常有趣,不是吗?(救材第66页)
反意疑问句是由“陈述部分+附加疑问部分”构成。附加疑问部分常译为“是不是?”“不是吗?”“是吧?”“对吗?”等。
反意疑问句要遵循以下原则:
①前肯后否,前否后肯。即:陈述部分为肯定时,附加疑问部分为否定;陈述部分为否定时,附加疑问部分为肯定。
我们可以乘船去那个岛,是不是?
We can go to the island by ship, can't we?
汤姆没去过游乐园,是吗?
Tom hasn't been to an amusement park, has he?
②当前面的陈述部分含有表示否定意义的词如few, little, never, no, nobody, hardly, seldom等时,其后的附加疑问部分应用肯定形式。
他们在山顶几乎不能吸入空气,是吗?
They could hardly take in air on the top of the mountain, could they?
校园里几乎没有垃圾,是吗?
There's little rubbish in the schoolyard, is there?
注意： 反意疑问句的回答应以事实为依据,如果事实是肯定的,就用yes;如果事实是否定的,就用no。在“前否后肯”的反意疑问句的答语中,yes译为“不”,no译为“是”。
2. It's a great way to spend a saturday afternoon.那是一个度过周六下午的好方式。(教材第66页)
此处动词不定式(短语) to spend a Saturday afternoon作后置定语,修饰way。
a great way to do sth.意为“一个做某事的好方式/方法”
也可用a great way of doing sth.
这是一个解决问题的好方法。
It is a great way to solve the problem.
=lt is a great way of solving the problem.
3. I learned about the inventions that led to color movies,too.我还了解了一些发明,它们成就了彩色电影。(教材第66页)
(1)这是一个含有that引导定语从句的复合句
that led to color movies是一个由that引导的定语从句,修饰前面的先行词 inventions。其中that在定语从句中作主语,不能省略。
地上的那个包是她的。
The bag that lies on the ground is hers.
(2) learn about意为“了解;获知;得知”
与 learn of同义,后面接所获知的具体内容
他大量阅读来了解欧洲的历史。
He reads a lot to learn about the history of Europe.
(3) lead to意为“导致;通向;把……到”。
那起事件导致了战争的爆发。
The event led to the start of the war.
条条大路通罗马。
All roads lead to rome.
4. I've never been camping我从未野营过。(教材第66页)
此句为现在完成进行时,其结构为“have/ has been+现在分词”
表示动作从过去某一时刻开始,一直持续到现在,或者刚刚终止,或者可能仍然要继续下去。
在本句中,说话人使用这一时态来强调自己至今从未有过野营的经历。
