American English, one kind of “world English”, is the form of English used in the united states, it is considered to be the world’s most influential kind of English. Believe it or not, American English actually has many dialects, such as the midwestern, southern, African American and spanish dialects. Even in some parts of the USA, two people from neighbouring towns speak a little differently.
This is because people in the US, which is called the big melting pot, coming from all over the world. These people mix English with their own language. For example, in the coastal south, West African slaves mix English with their own language. For example, in the coastal south, West African slaves mix English with African dialects. And in the southwestern states, English there is influenced by the Mexican dialects of Spanish.
Native American languages have a great influence on dialects in the USA, too. It is obvious in the case of places-names, many of which are from Indian languages. There is also a large amount of American vocabulary drawn from indian languages, some of which has even spread outwards into British and other English speaking countries.
The dialects in the USA are also affected by people moving around. Some people who live in the mountains of the eastern USA speak with an older kind of English dialects. When these people move from one place to another, they take their dialects with them.
