【教材分析】
本节课是高中英语第一册Unit 1 A New Start的引入和阅读部分,这个单元是刚刚步入高中阶段的开始,所以是初高中的过渡,要让学生逐渐适应高中阶段的节奏和生活。在start out(引入)部分,通过引导学生去谈论自己第一天在校园中的感受,经历以及对新校园的印象,来消除学生的陌生感。在understanding ideas(阅读)部分,需要培养学生的预测能力,总结概括文章主旨大意的能力和寻找细节能力。后两个能力是高考考查的重点,因此要引起重视。
【教学目标与核心素养】
1.语言能力目标
本课时对于学生语言能力的要求主要在于:
(1)能够组织语言简单描述自己的感受和观点;
(2)能够通过阅读文章,快速获取细节信息,整合文本并对文章主旨大意进行概括。
2.思维品质目标:
通过谈论自己高中第一天的经历和学习孟浩的经历,培养起对新学校的认同感,对新生活的期待感,树立良好的自信心。
【教学重难点】
1.重点
(1)能够勇敢开口,和同学们分享自己的感受和想法;
(2)学习如何快速获取文章信息;
2.难点
(1)开口说;
(2)整合文章信息并概括文章主旨大意。
【教学过程】
Step 1. Starting out
1. Lead-in
Watch the video and answer the questions:
(1) What do these students do at school?
(2) How is this school different from your school?
2. Ask students to finish the questionnaire by themselves; and then share their answers with classmates.
Tips:
For the first question, students can express themselves like this:
On my first day at senior high, I felt very excited/happy/nervous... because...
For the fourth question, students can express themselves like this:
About my new school, I like the campus/my teachers/my classmates...most because...
Step 2. Understanding ideas
1. Before reading
Look at the title of the passage and the pictures. Tick what you think is mentioned in the passage.
Tips:
Some students may think all of the subjects above will be mentioned in the passage, but after reading, they will find just No 1, 2 and 5 are mentioned. But it doesn’t matter.
2. While reading
1) Have the Ss look through the passage and find out what the author wrote in his diary about his first day at senior high.
2) Focus on some new words and expressions from the passage. And get the Ss to understand the usage of the words and expressions.

3 After reading
Task 1. Complete Meng Hao’s experiences with expressions from the passage. Then check the answers together.
Task 2. Find expressions from the passage that show Meng Hao’s feelings at each stage of the day.
Students should use some adjectives to describe Meng Hao’s feelings, and then find some detailed information to support their ideas.
Task 3
1) Have Ss Find out the main idea of the passage. And Choose the best description of Meng Hao’s first day at senior high.
2) What’s your understanding of the saying “Well begun, half done”?
3) Get the Ss to think about what happened on the first day at senior high? What do you think of your experiences? Then get several Ss to share their experiences with the class.

本节课是高中英语第一册Unit 1 A New Start的语法部分,这个单元是刚刚步入高中阶段的开始,所以是初高中的过渡,而本课时的内容基本句子结构又是其中非常重要的一项。熟知基本句子结构,并能准确运用,不仅有助于学生写好作文,而且对于学生的阅读理解等各方面能力都有很大的帮助,因此要引起教师重视。

本课时对于学生语言能力的要求主要在于:
了解简单句五种基本的句子结构并能准确判断;
通过(翻译)练习熟练运用简单句的五种基本句子结构,为将来的写作做好准备。

(1)通过观察、比较、对比等方式,发现句子之间的关联性,并从具体句子中提炼出抽象信息;
(2)图片文字化。
3.文化意识目标
(1)获得相关文化知识,正确处理校园人际关系,树立积极生活、学习的价值观。

通过(翻译)练习熟练运用简单句的五种基本句子结构。

【教学过程】
Step 1 课前自学
1.请同学们阅读并理解以下内容。
英语当中充斥着大量的简单句。一般来讲,简单句的基本结构为:
谁(主语)做了(谓语)什么事情(宾语)
这样的结构通常表现为五种基本形式,现在归纳如下:
(1)SV句式:主语+谓语(不及物动词)
SV句式常用来表示主语的动作或状态。其特点为:句子的谓语动词都能表达完整的意思,这类动词叫做不及物动词,后面可以跟副词、介词短语、状语从句等。
(2015·北京高考)I am writing to tell you my exciting plan for the summer holiday.
我写信是想告诉你我的激动人心的暑假计划。
Bathed in the sunshine, we jumped and cheered with joy.
沐浴在阳光中,我们高兴得欢呼雀跃。
(2)SVO句式:主语+谓语(及物动词)+宾语
SVO句式句型特点为:谓语动词均为实义动词,都是主语发出的动作,但不能表达完整的意思,必须跟一个宾语(宾语可以由名词、代词、动名词、不定式等来充当),即动作的承受者,才能表达完整的意思。
名师指津:该句式的谓语动词要用及物动词。如果是不及物动词,后面一定要跟介词构成及物词组。

最后但同样重要的是,小组学习可以分享我们高效解决问题的经验。
(2014·江西高考)Finally, we should take part in sports and outdoor activities frequently.
最后,我们应该经常参加运动和户外活动。
(2015·江苏高考)Nowadays, people in many big cities are complaining about the heavy traffic.
当今,许多大城市的人们在抱怨交通拥堵。
(3)SLP句式:主语+系动词+表语
SLP句式就是常说的主系表结构。此句式侧重说明主语是什么或怎么样,谓语动词需用系动词(主要是be动词),表语多为形容词,也可以是名词、介词短语、不定式及分词等。

作为一名高中生,最重要的任务是努力学习,那决定着我们的将来。

(4)SVOO句式:主语+谓语(及物动词)+间接宾语+直接宾语
SVOO句式中的谓语动词必须跟两个宾语才能表达完整的意思。一个是表示人的间接宾语;一个是表示物的直接宾语。一般间接宾语在前面,直接宾语在后面。
(2015·北京高考)This camp will open on July 20th. It offers teenagers like you and me a chance to enjoy sports and learn about Chinese culture.
这个训练营将在7月20日开始。它给我们这样的青少年提供了一个欣赏体育运动和学习中国文化的机会。
(2015·湖北高考)Two years ago, our teacher offered us an answer to a difficult math problem in class.
两年前,课堂上老师给我们提供了一个数学难题的答案。
(5)SVOC句式:主语+谓语(及物动词)+宾语+宾语补足语
SVOC句式中的动词虽然是及物动词,但是只跟一个宾语还不能表达完整的意思,必须加上一个补充成分来说明宾语,才能使意思完整。宾语补足语是用来补充说明宾语的情况的,直接跟在宾语之后。

1.完成课本第五页活动一:将具有相同结构的句子匹配在一起。

限时活动:在课本2、3页的课文中找出更多包含以上基本句子结构的句子,看哪个组又快又准。
Step 4.头脑风暴
观察图片并回答问题:

本课时是听说课。由于是新生刚入学,所以相比较于听说的具体内容,教师更应该注重对学生学习习惯、学习策略和思维的培养。听和说两个部分都有Learning to learn(学会学习),教师要充分发挥它们的作用,教会学生具体的学习方法。

本课时对于学生语言能力的要求主要在于:
(1)能够从听力中获取具体信息并且概括归纳一段听力材料的主旨大意;
(2)能够通过阅读从文章中获取具体信息;
(3)能够将一些关键信息组织成一篇演讲(说/写)。

连词成句,连句成篇。
3.学习能力目标
正确合理运用学习策略:
(1)听力策略:在听力过程中记录关键信息如姓名、数字、事实等;

Part 1.Listening
Step 1 Lead in
Get the Ss to read the paragraph on Page 7 and answer the questions in groups and then ask someone to share his/her idea.
1.What are the advantage(s) and disadvantage (s) of after-school activities?
2.To solve the problem, what should students and schools do?
3.Do you think making plans before you do something is necessary?
Step 2.Learning to learn
Tell some tips to the Ss:
a.Make notes of key information such as names, numbers, facts and instructions.
b.When making notes, use short hand is helpful if the notes are too long. For example, we can use F to replace Friday.
Step 3.Listening
1.Activity 6 on Page 7
Listen to the conversation and complete the plan.
2.Listen to the conversation. Decide what the students are mainly talking about.
A.The clubs they have joined and the activities they do after school.
B.The things they should do to manage their time well.
C.The challenges they face in their new school.
Step 4.Work in pairs.
Act out the conversation to make a plan for the weekend English study.
Part 2.Speaking
Step 1.Before reading
1.Have the Ss finish Activity 1 and ask why the Ss make their choice.
2.Get the Ss to look at the word cloud and the picture and predict what is talked about in the interview.
Step 2.Learning to learn.
Before scanning the text, make sure the Ss have read the tips from Learning to learn.
Step 3.Scan and answer
1.Scan the interview and answer the questions. Use the strategy you have learned in Step 2.
(1)What did Lisa find most helpful when she started senior high?
(2)How did she deal with new challenges?
(3)How did she handle disappointments?
Get someone to answer his answers.
2.Go through Think & Share and think about the questions, then share your idea with the class.
3.Group work
1.Discuss the following questions with your group members:
(1)What problems may you face in senior high?
(2)What's your advice to the problems?
Finish the notes on Page 10 according to your discussion.
2.Have the Ss organize the speech following the steps below.
(1)Start by welcoming the new students.

【教材分析】
本课时是写作课,写作内容为应用文之日记体裁。应用文类写作的书信体和演讲在目前的高考中占比较大,而日记和通知类则相对占比较小,但由于在日常生活中还是有很广泛的应用,因此还是要引起教师重视。由于这是第一课的写作,教师除了教给学生日记体的写作格式,人称等知识外,还要注重对学生写作习惯的培养,如大小写问题,分段问题等。

1.语言能力目标
本课时对于学生语言能力的要求主要在于:
(1)了解日记体写作的时态,人称,格式等基本知识;
(2)能够将本课时学到的关于日记体的知识运用到实际的日记写作中。
2.思维品质目标
通过观察、阅读、模仿范文,写出自己的专属日记。
3.学习能力目标
注意知识的迁移运用,比如将前面学的基本句子结构应用到自己的实际写作当中。

Step 1 Preview
日记是以记叙一天(或一段时间)生活中所见、所闻、所做或所思为内容的一种文体。写英语日记一般要注意以下几点:
1.规范的格式:英语日记通常由书端和正文两部分组成。书端用于记载写日记的日期、星期和天气情况,它位于正文上面第一行,顶格写起。
2.正确的人称:日记是对生活的记录,是把自己生活中有意义的事情记录下来形成的书面材料,因此多用第一人称。
3.正确的时态:日记一般是对当天发生的事情的记叙,因此多用过去时态。
Step 2 Reading

1.Ask students to use some adjectives to describe the first week.
2.The first paragraph should be the center of other paragraphs. The other paragraphs should be developed surrounding the first paragraph.

After-school activities:
After class on Monday/Tuesday..., I went to basketball/art...club...(What happened then?)
How I made a new friend?

Step 4 Writing
1.Write a journal entry about the Ss' first-week experiences at senior high. Use the notes in Activity 6 and the expressions in the box.

2.Share your journal with the class.
