1. —Is there a hospital near here?--这附近有医院吗？
—Yes, there is. It’s on Bridge Street.--有，在桥街上。
（1）这是There be句型的一般疑问句，其结构为“Be(Is/Are)+there +主语+其他？”即把be提到句首，句尾变问号。肯定回答是：Yes, there is/are.否定回答是：No，there isn’t/aren’t.

例如：--Is there a book on the desk? 课桌上有本书吗？
--Yes, there is.是的，有。/No, there isn’t. 不，没有。
【温馨提示】
There be 句型表示“某地有某物；在某地有某物”。be动词的单复数取决于后面的名词单复数，即主谓一致采用就近原则。


例如：There is some milk in the glass.玻璃杯中有一些牛奶。
There are ten boys and a girl in the classroom.教室里有一个女孩和十个男孩。

She lives at 88 Huayuan Street.他住在花园街88号。
near 介词，表示“在……的附近” Suzhou is near Shanghai.苏州在上海附近。
形容词，意为“近的”，表示的“近”是相对的。反义词是far“远”。 His home is near to the post office.他家离邮局很近。

Hello. I’m Steve. This week I want to tell you about my favorite hotel. It’s in the west (西部) of Ireland. I think the best time to go there is June. I often go there with my family or friends. The hotel’s name is The White Hotel because people always paint it that color. The hotel is on a very beautiful island —?Achill?Island.
The White Hotel is a very old hotel in this part of the country. People built (建造) it in 1859. Lots of people enjoy going there. You can see the sea or mountains from every room.
