I. Teaching material:
This class is the first period of Unit3 section A, which talks about what people doing for vacation in future.
II. Teaching objectives
1 .Ability objective:
Listening: Listen and catch the key words;
Speaking: Immitate the pronunciation and action of the flash; Make a new conversation and role play; Interview good friends or tteachers;
Writing: Interview and do a survey.
2. Knowledge objective:
To master the use of the words, grammars and the key structures in this unit.
① Words and expressions: camping, go bike riding, go sightseeing, babysitting, leave, plan .
② Sentence structures:
What are you doing for vacation I'm spending time with my friends .
When are you going I' m leaving next week.

3. Moral objective:
To develop the students’ basic skills of cooperation in daily life.
4.Strategies objectives:
A.Cognitive strategy: Let the Students guess the new words, expressions, and sentence patterns by teacher’s English explaination and body language, or showing pictures with multimedia computer.
B. Communicative strategy: The students can cooperate with their partners in English and pay attention not only to their pronunciation and intonation, but also their body language.

Step 1 Warming-up
Play an English song “Head, shoulders, knees and toes ”,let the students sing and point to their boby .
Aims: to arouse the students’ interest and review some words of Unit2.
Step 2 Lead-in by a guessing game
Play a guessing game. Let the students guess what they are doing for vacation. Tell them “be+v.ing” can express the future plan.
Lead in the phrases: going skateboarding, going fishing, going hiking, going bike riding, going sightseeing, spending time with my friends, babysitting, camping, going to climb a cliff.
Step 3 Pairwork(can use the new expressions )
Show the pictures and let the students work in pairs.
A: What’re you doing for vacation
B:I’m… A: That sounds interesting \great \nice.
Task 2 Pairwork by using “what,when,who, how long” (including 3 steps)
Step 1 Look and discuss
Show a picture of vacation activities, let the students discuss“What are they doing for vacation ”.Encourage them to speak loudly.
Step 2 Watch a video and make a list. Encourage them to add more information.
Step 3 Pairwork
Add more questions with “when,who,how long”,and let them ask and answer.
Task 3 Show time (including 3 steps)
Step1 Listen and fill in the chart. Get the students answer in sentences.
Step 2 Just for fun
Play a flash of “Just for fun”, let them immitate the pronunciation and body language.
Step 3 Immitate and create:
Let the students act Princess and frog, encourage them to create new scenes.

VIII Teaching reflection
这堂课侧重于口语的训练,有两个亮点:第一,利用Flash课件吸引学生的兴趣,引导学生模仿有感彩和丰富肢体语言的英语,进而鼓励学生进行更深一层的课本剧创作,来源于课本,更高于课本。第二,利用任务型教学,学生活动贯穿始终。课堂一开始就抛出一个贯穿始末的孩子们感兴趣的话题:你和朋友们怎样度过国庆节?本课设计了四个任务型活动,每个活动环环紧扣,由简到繁,由简单对话到采访,最后作总结报告。而每个活动内部又有两到三个步骤,给孩子们搭好梯子,目的在于让学生们在不断练习中提高,以至于上完一节课能够脱口而出本课的重点句型和习惯用语。
在国庆大典60周年即将到来之际,能和学生们一起献上一节公开课借以表达对祖国的美好祝愿,是我和学生们最高兴的事。同时,我认为英语老师们在“传道授业解惑”的时候,适当的进行爱国主义教育是很必要的。
