Traveling
to
a
foreign

can
make
you
frightened
if
you
don't

the

Mr.
Thibault
has
a
number
of
tips
to
help
travelers
manage
in
a
destination
when
they

the
native
tongue,
based
on
his
own
experience.
Here
are
a

of
them.

”is
a
must,
Mr.

said.
Showing
that
you

of
the

before
you
go,
and
at
least
enough
to
acknowledge
that
you
don't

more,
is
a
form
of
respect
and
will
go
a
long
way
to
be
liked
by
locals.

To
personal
trainer
Sammy
Callari,
13-year-old
Parker
Seward
is
more
than
a
client(客户).
He's
his
"little
brother".
Over
the
past
year,
the
pair
have
bonded.
They
play
basketball
together,
share
meals
and
dance
to
hip-hop
like
no
one's
watching.
The
trainer
was
asked
to
work
with
the
13-year-old
boy,
who
has
Down
syndrome(唐氏症),
because
his
coworker
who
dealt
with
the
boy
was
out
of
town
last
spring.
Callari
had
never
worked
with
someone
with
a
disability
before.
He
was
anxious
the
first
day
he
met
Parker.
But
Parker's
big
smile
and
cheery
introduction
immediately
put
him
at
ease.
He
reminded
Callari
of
himself
when
he
was
a
teenager.
Like
Parker,
Callari
has
also
faced
his
fair
share
of
challenges
over
the
years.
As
a
high
schooler,
Callari
described
himself
as
being
the
weak
kid.
When
it
came
to
sports,
he
was
always
overlooked.
His
dream
of
playing
baseball
in
college
quickly
faded
away.
When
he
went
to
college,
Callari
turned
to
a
new
sport.
His
younger
brother
trained
him
to
become
a
boxer.
Callari
participated
in
five
matches.
Out
of
four
of
those
fights
he
was
the
underdog,
and
he
won
three
times.
know
how
it
feels,
Callari
said.
''Society
tells
you
that
you
can't
do
this,
you
can't
do
that."
When
it
comes
to
Parker,
Callari
refuses
to
accept
the
word
"can't”.
The
friends
meet
twice
a
week
to
train.
They
bike,
box,
run
and
work
on
their
core
with
push-ups.
Parker
has
a
short
attention
span,
so
it's
Callari's
job
to
keep
him
focused.
"If
Parker
can
do
it,
if
he's
having
fun,
even
with
his
frustration,
then
people
will
ask,
"Why
can't
I
do
that?"
Callari
said.
"That's
the
whole
task
right
now."
Callari
recalls
Parker's
mom
once
thanking
him
for
taking
a
"chance"
on
her
son.
Callari
told
her
he
never
viewed
it
that
way.
Parker
may
be
the
student,
but
Callari
says
he's
also
the
one
who's
learning.
24.
Why
was
Callari
asked
to
train
Parker?
A.
Parker's
parents
had
faith
in
Callari.
B.
They
shared
the
same
interests.

was
an
expert
in
Down
syndrome.
D.
Callari
took
place
of
his
absent
colleague.
25.
What
can
we
learn
about
Callari
when
he
was
in
high
school?
A.
He
was
good
at
sports.
B.
He
was
looked
down
upon
by
everyone.
C.
He
was
out
of
condition.
D.
He
was
influenced
deeply
by
his
brother.
26.

is
the

schooler

C
One
spring
morning
many
years
ago,
I
had
been
prospecting
for
gold
along
Coho
Creek
in
southeastern
Alaska.
Suddenly,
no
more
than
20
paces
away
was
a
huge
Alaskan
timber
wolf
caught
in
a
trap.
From
her
appearance,
I
guessed
she
had
been
trapped
for
several
days.
She
needed
my
help,
I
thought.
But
if
I
tried
to
release
her,
she
would
turn
aggressive
to
me.
The
wolf
was
clearly
suffering.
The
trap's
steel
jaws
had
imprisoned
two
toes.
They
were
swollen
and
lacerated,
but
she
wouldn't
lose
the
paw
(爪子)---if
freed.
Yet
each
time
I
moved
closer,
she
would
make
a
frightening
growl.
If
I
could
only
win
her
confidence,
I
thought.
It
was
her
only
hope.
Over
the
next
few
days,
I
divided
my
time
between
prospecting
and
trying
to
win
the
wolfs
trust.
I
talked
gently
with
her,
throwing
her
some
meat.
Gradually,
I
kept
edging
closer
---
though
I
was
careful
to
remain
beyond
the
length
of
her
trap
chain.
At
dusk
on
the
fifth
day,
I
delivered
her
dinner.
Suddenly,
I
saw
a
slight
wagging
of
her
tail.
I
moved
within
the
length
of
her
chain.
She
remained
still.
As
a
towering
man,
my
heart
was
in
my
mouth,
though.
Within
her
reach,
I
wrapped
my
blanket
around
myself
and
slowly
settled
onto
the
cold
ground.
It
was
long
before
I
fell
asleep.
The
next
morning,
I
slowly
placed
my
hand
on
the
wolfs
injured
leg.
Unexpectedly;
she
made
no
threatening
move.
Then
I
applied
pressure,
the
trap
sprang
open,
and
the
wolf
pulled
free.
My
experience
told
me
the
wolf
would
vanish
into
the
woods
quickly.
But
cautiously,
she
crept
toward
me
and
sniffed
my
hands
and
arms.
This
went
against
everything
I'd
ever
heard
about
timber
wolves.
Yet,
strangely,
it
all
seemed
so
natural.

confidence.

Some

The
TV
series,
The

in

which
was

on
Chinese
online
platforms
last
summer
became
a
hit
soon.
Since
then,
it
has
been
shown
on

TV
networks
abroad.
Some
websites
overseas
also
offered
the
program
to
their
users
paying

Chinese
series
was

abroad.
“I
was
amazed
by
the
overseas
audience's
love
for
this
show,”
Cao
Dun,
director
of
The
Longest
Day
in
Chang'an,
told
Beijing
Review.
"I
was
worried
that
they
wouldn't

But
in
reality,
the
show
is
prompting
foreign

Tang

to

The
unique
culture
in
ancient
China
is
not
a
barrier
but
a
bridge
to
connect
with
foreign
audiences.
In
the
TV

every
figure
is
given
enough
space
to
flesh
out
his
or
her
character.
Telling
stories
of
ordinary
Chinese
people
that

“The
TV

is
a
step
in
my
plan

Cao
said.
"After
describing
the
impressive
beauty
of
the
Tang

I
am
looking
for
several
plays
that
tell
stories
of
today's
China.
I
don't
want
to
copy
any
country's
production.
Chinese
dramas
have
to
be
built
on
our
rich
culture
and
Chinese
people's
everyday
life,

Cao
added.

Azhar,
is
in
Cario,
Egypt.
It
was
first
built
as
a
mosque
for
religion
(宗教学院)in
A.D.
972.
A
few
years
later,
learners
and
teachers
began
meeting
in
the
mosque.
They
read
and
talked
about
the
subject
of
religion
and
law.
37
.
Leaders
in
the
city
of
Cario
decided
to
create
a
school
for
higher
learning
and
soon
after
that,
AL

Azhar
University
was
founded.
38
.
For
these
teachers
at
AL

Azhar,
they
needed
to
think
about
what
courses
to
teach
and
how
to
teach
them.
The
earliest
courses
were
in
law
and
religion.
In
a
course,
students
read
and
studied
with
the
teachers,
but
there
was
also
free
discussion.
Often,
students
and
teachers
had
interesting
discussions,
and
there
was
no
“right”
answer.
In
the
years
that
followed,
the
new
university
interested
scholars
from
around
the
world.
39
.
At
AL

Azhar,
people
studied
the
past,
but
it
was
also
a
place
for
sharing
new
ideas.
Over
a
thousand
years
later,
AL

Azhar
is
still
an
important
university
in
the
world.
40
.Today,
many
of
the
world's
most
important
universities
such
as
Oxford
and
Harvard
still
follow
the
same
traditions
as
they
do
at
AL

Azhar.
A.
Its
library
contains
many
of
the
world's
oldest
and
most
valuable
books
B.
The
cost
of
university
education
is
increasing
year
by
year
C.
However,
the
university
is
not
a
modem
invention
D.
Around
the
year
988,
a
new
decision
was
made
E.
There
are
many
reasons
to
study
in
Egypt
F.
They
came
here
to
teach
and
do
research

Last
Sunday
I
went
to
a
animal
hospital
to
help
the
doctors
there.
I
arrived
at
the
hospital
early
in
the
morning.
And
there
were
already
much
work

do:
giving
the

food
and

and
even
giving
them

the
heads.
At
first,
they
looked
at
me
with
frightening
eyes.
A
doctor
says
to
them,
"Don't
worry,
and
everything
will
be
OK."
I
washed
a

I
worked
careful
to
make
sure
I
didn't
hurt
him.
I
wished
he
could
know
we
were
just
trying
help
him.
It
was
a
long
day
and
the
work
made
me
tired,
and
I
was
very
happy.
I
knew
I
loved

And
the
animals
knew
I
loved

They
