A
More
than
25
years
ago,
Saroo
Brierley
lived
in
rural(农村)India.
One
day,
he
played
with
his
brother
along
the
rail
line
and
fell
asleep.
When
he
woke
up
and
found
himself
alone,
the
4-year-old
decided
his
brother
might
be
on
the
train
he
saw
in
front
of
him-so
he
got
on.
That
train
took
him
a
thousand
miles
across
the
country
to
a
totally
strange
city.
He
lived
on
the
streets,
and
then
in
an
orphanage(孤儿院).
There,
he
was
adopted
by
an
Australian
family
and
flown
to
Tasmania.
As
he
writes
in
his
new
book,
A
Long
Way
Home,
Brierley
couldn't
help
but
wonder
about
his
hometown
back
in
India.
He
remembered
landmarks,
but
since
he
didn't
know
his
town's
name,
finding
a
small
neighborhood
in
a
vast
country
proved
to
be
impossible.
Then
he
found
a
digital
mapping
program.
He
spent
years
searching
for
his
hometown
in
the
program's
satellite
pictures.
In
2011,
he
came
across
something
familiar.
He
studied
it
and
realized
he
was
looking
at
a
town's
central
business
district
from
a
bird's-eye
view.
He
thought,
“On
the
right-hand
side
you
should
see
the
three-platform
train
station”—and
there
it
was.
"And
on
the
left-hand
side
you
should
see
a
big
fountain"-and
there
it
was.
Everything
just
started
to
match.
When
he
stood
in
front
of
the
house
where
he
grew
up
as
a
child,
he
saw
a
lady
standing
in
the
entrance.
"There's
something
about
me,
"
he
thought—and
it
took
him
a
few
seconds
but
he
finally
remembered
what
she
used
to
look
like.
In
an
interview
Brierley
says,
"My
mother
looked
so
much
shorter
than
I
remembered.
But
she
came
forth
and
walked
forward,
and
I
walked
forward,
and
my
feelings
and
tears
and
the
chemical
in
my
brain,
you
know,
it
was
like
a
nuclear
fusion(核聚变).
I
just
didn't
know
what
to
say,
because
I
never
thought
seeing
my
mother
would
ever
come
true.
And
here
I
am,
standing
in
front
of
her.

21.Why
was
Brierley
separated
from
his
family
about
25
years
ago?
A.He
got
on
a
train
by
mistake.
B.He
got
lost
while
playing
in
the
street.
C.He
was
taken
away
by
a
foreigner.
D.He
was
adopted
by
an
Australian
family.
22.How
did
Brierley
find
his
hometown?
A.By
analyzing
old
pictures.
B.By
travelling
all
around
India.
C.By
studying
digital
maps.
D.By
spreading
his
story
via
his
book.
23.What
does
Brierley
mainly
talk
about
in
the
interview?
A.His
love
for
his
mother.
B.His
reunion
with
his
mother.
C.His
long
way
back
home.
D.His
memory
of
his
hometown.
B
Everyone
gets
anxious
when
the
world
takes
an
uncertain
turn.
And
often,
we
treat
that
anxiety
with
a
little
panic
buying.
A
study
published
last
year
in
the
Journal
of
Consumer
Research
found
that
people
buy
things
in
troubled
times
as
a
means
of
keeping
control
over
their
lives.
The
researchers
noted
that
utility
items

specifically,
cleaning
products

tend
to
move
most
quickly
from
store
shelves.
The
hoarding
(囤积)
of
toilet
paper,
as
perhaps
the
most
fundamental
cleaning
product,
may
represent
our
most
fundamental
fears.
An
invisible
enemy
moves
slowly
and
quietly
towards
us.
We
need
to
hold
on
to
something
in
uncertain
times.
Maybe
a
hoard
of
toilet
paper
brings
promises.
The
thing
is,
it’s
not
actually
going
anywhere.
For
all
the
sharp
words
and
even
sharper
elbows
thrown
around
by
the
crazy
toilet
paper
shoppers,
they
seem
to
be
missing
one
essential
fact:
There
is
no
toilet
paper
shortage.
As
The
New
York
Times
points
out,
shop
owners
that
see
their
shelves
emptied
often
fill
up
the
shelves
again
in
a
day,
often
in
just
a
few
hours.
“You
are
not
using
more
of
it.
You
are
just
filling
up
your
closet
with
it,”
Jeff
Anderson,
president
of
paper
product
manufacturer
Precision
Paper
Converters,
tells
the
Times.
The
thing
is,
the
toilet
paper-obsessed
shoppers
have
been
infected
with
something
many
times
more
contagious
(感染性的)
than
any
coronavirus:
fear.
“People
are
social
creatures.
We
look
to
each
other
for
cues
for
what
is
safe
and
what
is
dangerous,”
Steven
Taylor,
a
clinical
psychologist
at
the
University
of
British
Columbia,
tells
Fox
News.
“And
when
you
see
someone
in
the
store
panic-buying,
that
can
cause
a
fear
contagion
effect.
People
become
anxious
ahead
of
the
actual
infection.
They
haven’t
thought
about
the
bigger
picture,
like
what
are
the
consequences
of
hoarding
toilet
paper.”
24.Why
do
shoppers
have
a
panic
toilet
paper
buying?
A.The
world
is
on
the
turning
point.
B.It
guarantees
their
victory
over
coronavirus.
C.There
is
no
adequate
supply
in
the
store
at
all.
D.It
comes
as
a
way
of
anxiety
relief.
25.By
describing
the
scene
of
our
defense
against
an
enemy
in
paragraph
2,
the
author
intends
to
.
A.explain
the
reasons
for
a
panic
toilet
paper
buying.
B.warn
us
of
the
danger
of
an
enemy.
C.remind
us
of
the
threat
of
any
coronavirus.
D.teach
us
the
method
of
handling
a
problem.
26.What
is
the
author’s
attitude
toward
the
hoarding
toilet
paper?
A.Uninterested.
B.Negative.
C.Supportive.
D.Curious.
C
Sohrab's
gaze
bounced
from
the
kite
to
me.
Back
to
the
sky.
I
took
off
running,
my
sneakers
splashing
rainwater
from
puddles,
the
hand
clutching
the
kite
end
of
the
string
held
high
above
my
head.
It
had
been
so
long,
so
many
years
since
I'd
done
this,
and
I
wondered
if
I'd
make
a
spectacle
of
myself.
I
let
the
spool
roll
in
my
left
hand
as
I
ran,
felt
the
string
cut
my
right
hand
again
as
it
fed
through.
The
kite
was
lifting
behind
my
shoulder
now,
lifting,
wheeling,
and
I
ran
harder.
The
spool
spun
faster
and
the
glass
string
tore
another
gash
in
my
right
palm.
I
hadn't
flown
a
kite
in
a
quarter
of
a
century,
but
suddenly
I
was
twelve
again
and
all
the
old
instincts
came
rushing
back.
I
felt
a
presence
next
to
me
and
looked
down.
It
was
Sohrab.
Hands
dug
deep
in
the
pockets
of
his
raincoat.
He
had
followed
me.My
heart
quickened
as
I
spun
the
spool
to
gather
the
loose
string.
Then
I
saw
we
had
company.
A
green
kite
was
closing
in.
His
gaze
flitted
between
our
kite
and
the
green
one.
His
face
was
a
little
flushed,
his
eyes
suddenly
alert.
Awake.
Alive.
I
wondered
when
I
had
forgotten
that,
despite
everything,
he
was
still
just
a
child.The
green
kite
drew
closer
yet,
now
rising
a
little
above
us,
unaware
of
the
trap
I'd
set
for
it.
"Watch,
Sohrab.
I'm
going
to
show
you
one
of
your
father's
favorite
tricks,
the
old
lift-and-dive.The
park
shimmered
with
snow
so
fresh,
so
dazzling
white,
it
burned
my
eyes.
It
sprinkled
soundlessly
from
the
branches
of
white-clad
trees.
The
green
kite
hovered
directly
above
us
now.
"He's
going
for
it.
Anytime
now,?I
said,
my
eyes
flicking
from
Sohrab
to
our
kite.The
green
kite
hesitated.
Held
position.
Then
shot
down.
"Here
he
comes!?I
said.
I
did
it
perfectly.
After
all
these
years.
The
old
lift-and-dive
trap.
I'd
already
slipped
him
Hassan's
trick.
I
pulled
hard
and
our
kite
plummeted.
I
could
almost
feel
our
string
sawing
his.
Almost
heard
the
snap.
Behind
us,
people
cheered.
Whistles
and
applause
broke
out.
I
was
panting.
The
last
time
I
had
felt
a
rush
like
this
was
that
day
in
the
winter
of
1975,
just
after
I
had
cut
the
last
kite,
when
I
spotted
Baba
on
our
rooftop,
clapping,
beaming.
I
looked
down
at
Sohrab.
One
corner
of
his
mouth
had
curled
up
just
so.
A
smile.
Lopsided.
Hardly
there.
But
there.
"Do
you
want
me
to
run
that
kite
for
you??
His
Adam's
apple
rose
and
fell
as
he
swallowed.
The
wind
lifted
his
hair.
I
thought
I
saw
him
nod.
"For
you,
a
thousand
times
over,?I
heard
myself
say.
Then
I
turned
and
ran.
It
was
only
a
smile,
nothing
more.
It
didn't
make
everything
all
right.
It
didn't
make
anything
all
right.
Only
a
smile.
A
tiny
thing.
A
leaf
in
the
woods,
shaking
in
the
wake
of
a
startled
bird's
flight.
But
I'll
take
it.
With
open
arms.
Because
when
spring
comes,
it
melts
the
snow
one
flake
at
a
time,
and
maybe
I
just
witnessed
the
first
flake
melting.
I
ran.
A
grown
man
running
with
a
swarm
of
screaming
children.
But
I
didn't
care.
I
ran
with
the
wind
blowing
in
my
face,
and
a
smile
as
wide
as
the
Valley
of
Panjsher
on
my
lips.
I
ran.

When
the
moon
passes
between
the
Sun
and
the
Earth,the
resulting
view
of
the
Sun
is
called
a
solar
eclipse(日食).
Solar
eclipses
are
beautiful
astronomical
events
and
many
people
across
the
world
travel
to
faraway
places
to
get
a
clear
view
of
the
phenomenon.
31.
Others
choose
special
eyewear.
It
is
believed
that
a
pregnant
woman
with
a
baby
should
not
view
a
solar
eclipse.
They
are
often
told
that
their
child
will
be
badly
formed
if
they
view
a
solar
eclipse.
However,
various
scientific
authorities
have
stated
over
and
over
again
that
there
is
no
harm
at
all
in
viewing
a
solar
eclipse
with
the
right
eye
gear.
32.
It
is
important,
however,
that
you
view
a
solar
eclipse
with
the
right
eye
gear.
Staring
right
at
the
sun
could
permanently
damage
the
eyes.
It
is
wrong
to
assume
that
the
sun
can
be
looked
at
after
the
moon
blocks
out
a
majority
of
it.
33.
If
you
want
to
view
the
eclipse,
you
have
to
get
special
glasses.
As
opposed
to
popular
belief,
sunglasses
and
dark
films
do
NOT
protect
our
eyes.
34.
You
can
do
this
by
fixing
a
telescope
and
focusing
the
image
onto
a
sheet
of
paper.
You
can
clearly
see
the
eclipse
on
the
sheet
of
paper.
You
should
never
look
directly
at
the
eclipse

“Good

Mom

with

"The
Parker

Surfer.
They'll
be

Surfer
had
been
with
us
for
two
days.
While
I

I

I

Surfer

and
he

us
so
we

him
with
a
loving
family.
Surfer
was
a
cute
puppy,
so
finding
a

him
had

very
easy.
Dad
entered
Surfer's

into
a

along
with

and
within
a

hours,
the
Parkers

to

him.
Mom
looked
over
their
application,
and
they
seemed
like
responsible
people,
so
she
called
them.
However,
not
every
dog
was
so
lucky.
Zooey
was
nine
years
old,
and
she'd
been
with
us
for
a
few
months.
It
seemed
like
nobody
wanted
to
adopt
an
older
dog.
Dad
said
that
was
a
shame
because
older
dogs
made
wonderful
companions.
Zooey's
previous
owner
had
treated
her
terribly,
and
when
she
was
sent
to
us
she
was
injured.
I
remember
how
angry
Dad
seemed
at
the
time.
"No
dog
should
be
treated
like
that,“
he
said.
When
Zooey
came
to
us,
she
was
upset
around
everyone.
She
barked
at
our
two
dogs
as
if
in
defense
and
backed
away
when
I
tried
to
approach
her.
But
with
our
considerate
care,
it
wasn't
long
before
Zooey
trusted
us.
I
took
her
on
walks
around
the
neighborhood
and
got
her
used
to
other
people
and
dogs.
She
took
a
real
liking
to
Surfer.
In
fact,
they
often
curled
together
as
they
napped(打盹).
The
Parkers
soon
arrived,
and
we
all
went
into
the
backyard
so
they
could
meet
with
Surfer.
Zooey
followed
us
out,
her
tail
wagging
lazily,
as
Surfer
rolled
in
the
grass
with
the
two
Parker
children.

第二部分
阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)
第一节(共15小题:每小题2分,满分30分)
A
这是一篇记叙文。文章主要讲述了布尔利小时候意外走失,长大后通过自己努力找回家人的故事。
21.细节理解题。根据第一段最后一句“When
he
woke
up
and
found
himself
alone:
the
4-year-old
decided
his
brother
might
be
on
the
train
he
saw
in
front
of
him-so
he
got
on.(当他醒来发现自己一个人时:4岁的孩子判断他哥哥可能在他前面看到的火车上,所以他上了车)”以及第二段中“That
train
took
him
a
thousand
miles
across
the
country
to
a
totally
strange
city.(那列火车把他带到了一个千里迢迢之外的陌生城市)”可知,布尔利在25年前和家人分开是因为他误上了火车。故选A项。
22.细节理解题。通过文章第四段“Then
he
found
a
digital
mapping
program.
He
spent
years
searching
for
his
hometown
in
the
program’s
satellite
pictures.(然后他找到了一个数字地图程序。他花了数年时间在该节目的卫星图片中寻找家乡)”以及“Everything
just
started
to
match.(一切都开始匹配了)”可知,布尔利是通过研究数字地图找到家乡的。故选C项。
23.细节理解题。通过文章最后一段“In
an
interview
Brierley
says:
“My
mother
looked
so
much
shorter
than
I
remembered.
But
she
came
forth
and
walked
forward,
and
I
walked
forward,
and
my
feelings
and
tears
and
the
chemical
in
my
brain,
you
know:
it
was
like
nuclear
fusion(核聚变).
just
didn’t
know
what
to
say:
because
I
never
thought
seeing
my
mother
would
ever
come
true.
And
here
I
am,
standing
in
front
of
her.(在一次采访中,布尔利说:“我妈妈看起来比我记忆中矮多了。但是她走了出来,朝我走来,我也向着她走去,我的感情、眼泪和大脑里的化学物质,你知道的:就像发生了核聚变。只是不知道该说些什么:因为我从没想过见到我母亲会成为现实。我就在这里,站在她面前。)”可知,作者在采访中讲述了他和母亲的团聚。故选B项。
B
这是一篇说明文。当人们面对未知的转变而感到焦虑时,会不由自主地囤积各种实用物品,尤其是厕纸,文章对造成这一现象的心理原因进行了深度剖析,并指出其本质是心理恐惧。
24.细节理解题。根据第二段“
The
hoarding
(囤积)
of
toilet
paper,
as
perhaps
the
most
fundamental
cleaning
product,
may
represent
our
most
fundamental
fears.”(作为最基本的清洁产品,对厕纸的囤积可能代表了我们最基本的恐惧)以及“Maybe
a
hoard
of
toilet
paper
brings
promises.”(可能囤积厕纸可以带来希望)可知,厕纸是可以作为释放缓解恐惧感和焦虑感的方式。故选D项。
25.推理判断题。根据第二段“The
researchers
noted
that
utility
items

specifically,
cleaning
products

tend
to
move
most
quickly
from
store
shelves.”可知,研究人员指出,实用物品——特别是清洁用品——往往从商店货架上移得最快。作为最基本的清洁产品,厕纸的囤积可能代表了我们最基本的恐惧,紧接着作者描述防御敌人这一场景就是为了解释一下恐慌性购买厕纸的原因。故选A项。
26.推理判断题。根据第三段“The
thing
is,
it’s
not
actually
going
anywhere”(这实际上不能解决任何问题)以及第五段“You
are
not
using
more
of
it.
You
are
just
filling
up
your
closet
with
it”(你不会使用更多的厕纸,只是把壁橱塞满了而已)可以判断出,作者并不支持囤积厕纸的做法。故选B项。
C
本文是一篇夹叙夹议的文章。文章主要描述主人公为孩子放风筝,并想起了童年的事情,激起一系列的情感变化,让我们感受到了父亲对孩子的爱。
27.推理判断题。根据文章第二段“The
kite
was
lifting
behind
my
shoulder
now,
lifting,
wheeling,
and
I
ran
harder.
The
spool
spun
faster
and
the
glass
string
tore
another
gash
in
my
right
palm.
I
hadn't
flown
a
kite
in
a
quarter
of
a
century,
but
suddenly
I
was
twelve
again
and
all
the
old
instincts
came
rushing
back.”(卷轴迅速旋转,风筝线再次在我右掌割开一道伤痕。我站住,转身,举头,微笑。我已经有25年没有放过风筝了,但刹那之间,我又变成十二岁,过去那些感觉统统涌上心头。)因为作者在放风筝时候,突然间感觉回到了12岁,过去那些感觉统统涌上心头,所以表示主人公珍视的不仅仅是放风筝,应该是比放风筝更加宝贵的事情。故选D。
28.细节理解题。根据第九段到第十四段的描述I
looked
down
at
Sohrab.
One
corner
of
his
mouth
had
curled
up
just
so.
A
smile.
Lopsided.
Hardly
there.
But
there.
"Do
you
want
me
to
run
that
kite
for
you??
His
Adam's
apple
rose
and
fell
as
he
swallowed.
The
wind
lifted
his
hair.
I
thought
I
saw
him
nod.
“For
you,
a
thousand
times
over?
I
heard
myself
say.
Then
I
turned
and
ran.
(我低头看着Sohrab。他的嘴角就这样卷着。一个微笑。不匀称的。几乎不存在。但是那里。“你想让我帮你追那只风筝吗?”他的喉结在吞咽时忽上忽下。风吹动了他的头发。我想我看到他在点头。“为你,千千万万遍,”我听见自己说。然后我转身就跑。)可知Sohrab不说话,但是他的一些动作都能激起主人公的情感变化,故选A。
29.细节理解题。根据文章第二段“I
hadn't
flown
a
kite
in
a
quarter
of
a
century,
but
suddenly
I
was
twelve
again
and
all
the
old
instincts
came
rushing
back.”
(我已经有25年没有放过风筝了,但刹那之间,我又变成十二岁,过去那些感觉统统涌上心头。)由此可知,主人公对环境变化的感受主要是由他对过去童年的重新寻找过程引起的,故选C。
30.推理判断题。根据文章倒数第二、三段“It
was
only
a
smile,
nothing
more.
It
didn't
make
everything
all
right.
It
didn't
make
anything

Only

(那只是一个微笑,仅此而已。这并没有让一切都好起来。这并没有让任何事情恢复正常。只有一个微笑。一个小的事情。树林里的一片树叶,因一只受惊的鸟的飞行而颤抖。但我会接受的。张开双臂。因为春天来了,它一次融化一片雪花,也许我刚刚目睹了第一片雪花融化。)由此可推断,这是父亲为孩子放风筝后,换来孩子的开心,让主人公感叹万千,由此推断这就是爱和拯救,故选C。
第二节(共5小题:每小题2分,满分10分)
这是一篇说明文,文章主要介绍了日食现象及观看日食的正确方法。
31.空前一句“Solar
eclipses
are
beautiful
astronomical
events
and
many
people
across
the
world
travel
to
faraway
places
to
get
a
clear
view
of
the
phenomenon.”提到,日食是美丽的天文现象,世界各地的许多人前往遥远的地方,以清楚地看到这一现象,结合空后一句“Others
choose
special
eyewear.(其他人则选择特殊的眼镜。)”可知,空处应是也描述观看日食的设备,D项“他们中的一些人通过特殊的望远镜观看这一现象。”符合语境,D项中的Some与空后一句的Others呼应。故选D项。
32.根据空前一句“However,
various
scientific
authorities
have
stated
over
and
over
again
that
there
is
no
harm
at
all
in
viewing
a
solar
eclipse
with
the
right
eye
gear.”可知,各种科学权威一再声明,用适当的眼睛防护设备观看日食完全没有害处,由此可推知,孕妇不能观看日食的说法不正确,即孕妇可以观看日食。B项“所以她们不必担心看日食”符合语境。故选B项。
33.根据空前两句“Staring
right
at
the
sun
could
permanently
damage
the
eyes.
It
is
wrong
to
assume
that
the
sun
can
be
looked
at
after
the
moon
blocks
out
a
majority
of
it.”可知,盯着太阳看会对眼睛造成永久性伤害。如果认为月亮遮住了大部分太阳后就可以直视太阳,那是错误的。由此可推知,不能直接用肉眼看日食,C项“直接观看日食是绝对不允许的”符合语境。故选C项。
34.空前一句“As
opposed
to
popular
belief,
sunglasses
and
dark
films
do
NOT
protect
our
eyes.”提到,与普遍的看法相反,太阳镜和暗膜并不能保护我们的眼睛,结合空后一句“You
can
do
this
by
fixing
a
telescope
and
focusing
the
image
onto
a
sheet
of
paper.
You
can
clearly
see
the
eclipse
on
the
sheet
of
paper.(你可以把望远镜固定在一张纸上,把图像对焦。你可以在这张纸上清楚地看到日食。)”可知,空处应是描述看日食的正确方法,空后是描述具体的操作,G项“观察日食的最好方法是观看它的投影。”符合语境,空后一句中的this指代G项中的“viewing
its
projected
image”。故选G项。
35.空前一句“Similarly,
you
can
make
a
tiny
hole
on
an
opaque(不透明的)
sheet
of
paper
and
let
the
light
passing
through
fall
on
a
sheet
of
paper.
(类似地,你可以在一张不透明的纸上挖一个小孔,让通过小孔的光落在一张纸上。)”是介绍另一个观看日食的方法,分析选项,E项“这种方法也是观测日食的一种有效方法。”说明其作用,符合语境。故选E项。

didn’t
have
my
wallet
with
me.
I
went
home,
but
it
wasn’t
there,
either.
Then
I
remembered
I
had
had
it
with
me
on
the
golf
course
the
day
before.
I
had
two
hundred
dollars
in
it,
my
Visa
card,
and
my
driver’s
license.
I
decided
to
go
back
to
the
golf
course
and
try
to
get
my
wallet
back.
I
needed
to
fill
up
the
car
with
gas
to
the
course,
but
luckily,
I
had
a
bank
card
at
home.
When
I
finally
got
there,
I
asked
around
the
changing
room,
but
no
one
had
seen
it.
Then
I
asked
the
people
in
the
restaurant
and
they
didn’t
have
it,
either.
My
last
chance
was
the
kids
outside
who
wash
the
golf
carts.
And
they
told
me
one
of
workers
found
it
when
he
was
cutting
the
grass
in
the
morning.
I
offered
to
treat
the
guy
to
a
round
of
golf,
but
he
said
he
plays
there
for
free,
anyway.
Finally,
he
said
if
I
came
back,
I
could
buy
him
a
beer.
I
told
him
he
had
a
deal.
