1.“You really never understand a person until you consider things from his point of view —until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”— To Kill a Mockingbird
【译文】“除非你从别人的观点考虑问题——在你钻进别人的身体里四处游荡之前,你决不会真正了解他。”——《杀死一只知更鸟》
【赏析】《杀死一只知更鸟》中故事的叙述者问身为律师的父亲为何为书中的一名嫌疑犯辩护时,父亲做了上述回答。父亲的这些话意欲传达给叙述者的道理是:不要随意评判他人,要设身处地从他人角度出发才能理解他人。
2. Many years have gone by, but when I looked back to that day, I still remember thelesson he taught me: Honesty is the best policy. / Forgiveness is more powerful thanhatred. / Be careful before judging people by their looks.

【赏析】冒号前面的内容为哲理式结尾的万能句式,冒号后面的内容为作者通过故事学到的道理。
