B(记叙文)
(2019·张家口模拟)When
I
was
small,
my
mother
and
I
would
walk
to
our
local
library
in
Franklin
Square.
As
we
didn't
always
have
access
to
a
reliable
car,
walking
hand
in
hand
was
the
most
convenient
way
to
get
anywhere.
It
was
at
story
time
for
children
that
both
my
mother
and
I
made
lasting
friendships.
Today,
I
am
fortunate
to
live
around
the
corner
from
the
Gold
Coast
Public
Library
in
Glen
Head
and
a
short
walk
to
the
Sea
Cliff
Children's
Library.
My
18-month-old
son,
Colin,
and
I
find
ourselves
in
Sea
Cliff
several
times
a
week,
meeting
and
making
friends.
Well,
that
is
what
many
people
don't
understand—a
library
is
more
than
books;
it's
a
community.
Sure,
the
library
in
Franklin
Square
was
the
place
where
I
was
introduced
to
Judy
Blume
novels.
But
it
was
also
the
place
where
I
got
my
first
email
address
in
1997.
At
the
library,
friends
and
I
learned
how
to
research
colleges
and
search
for
scholarships
on
the
Internet.
The
library
was
the
place
where
we
sometimes
giggled
(咯咯笑)
too
loudly,
and
where
the
librarians
knew
us
by
name.
Their
knowing
our
names
wasn't
a
bad
thing.
When
I
came
home
from
my
first
term
at
Binghamton
University,
Mary
LaRosa,
the
librarian
at
the
Franklin
Square
library
offered
me
my
first
teaching
job.
I
now
teach
reading
at
Nassau
Community
College.
My
students
are
often
amazed
that
they
can
check
out
books
via
their
smartphones
and
virtually
(虚拟地)
visit
a
variety
of
Long
Island
libraries.
The
app
used
by
Nassau
and
Suffolk
county
public
libraries,
as
well
as
the
college
library,
makes
their
homework
easier
by
helping
them
find
resources.
Even
though
they
can't
always
easily
visit
their
local
libraries,
the
library
is
always
with
them.
4.
Why
does
the
author
consider
herself
lucky
today?(细节)

close
to
libraries.
B.
She
has
access
to
a
reliable
car
now.
C.
She
can
meet
friends
at
the
library.
D.
She
has
become
her
mother's
best
friend.
5.
What
did
the
author
do
at
the
library
according
to
the
passage?(细节)
A.
She
told
stories
to
her
mother.
B.
She
learned
how
to
go
online.
C.
She
got
her
current
teaching
job.
D.
She
initially
read
Judy
Blume
novels.
6.
What
is
the
author's
attitude
to
her
students'
way
of
visiting
libraries?(推理)
A.
Cautious.

B.
Favorable.
C.
Ambiguous.
D.
Disapproving.
7.
Why
does
the
author
write
the
text?(写作目的)
A.
To
express
how
libraries
change.
B.
To
introduce
her
favorite
libraries.
C.
To

her
deep
love
for
libraries.

C(说明文)
(2019·杭州模拟)Microsoft
has
developed
a
new
smartphone
app
that
interprets
eye
signals
and
translates
them
into
letters,
allowing
people
with
ALS
(渐冻症)
to
communicate
with
others
from
a
phone.
The
GazeSpeak
app
combines
a
smartphone's
camera
with
artificial
intelligence
to
recognize
eye
movements
in
real
time
and
convert
them
into
letters,
words
and
sentences.
For
people
suffering
from
ALS,
also
known
as
motor
neurone
(神经元)
disease,
eye
movement
can
be
the
only
way
they
are
able
to
communicate.
“Current
eye-tracking
input
systems
for
people
with
ALS
or
other
motor
disabilities
are
expensive,
not
constant
under
sunlight,
and
require
frequent
readjustment
and
considerable,
relatively
fixed
systems,”
said
Xiaoyi
Zhang,
a
researcher
at
Microsoft
who
developed
the
technology.
“To
reduce
the
drawbacks
...
we
created
GazeSpeak,
an
eye-gesture
communication
system
running
on
a
smartphone,
and
is
designed
to
be
low-cost,
constant,
portable
and
easy
to
learn.”
The
app
is
used
by
the
listener
by
pointing
their
smartphone
at
the
speaker.
A
chart
stuck
to
the
back
of
the
smartphone
is
then
used
by
the
speaker
to
determine
which
eye
movements
to
make
for
communication.
The
label
shows
four
grids
(方格)
of
letters,
which
each
correspond
to
a
different
eye
movement.
By
looking
up,
down,
left
or
right,
the
speaker
selects
which
grids
they
want
the
letters
belong
to.
The
artificial
intelligence
algorithm
(计算程序)
is
then
able
to
predict
the
word
or
sentence
they
are
trying
to
say.
Zhang's
research,
Smartphone-Based
Gaze
Gesture
Communication
for
People
with
Motor
Disabilities,
is
set
to
be
presented
at
the
Conference
on
Human
Factors
in
Computing
Systems
in
May.

D(议论文)
(2019·孝义模拟)If
you
want
to
be
productive,
you
must
complete
work.
Almost
everything
we
do
has
many
stages
to
completion
and
in
many
situations,
you
don't
actually
create
value
until
you
finish
the
last
stage.
Farmers
can't
sell
their
grain
until
it
is
harvested.
Automakers
can't
sell
cars
that
have
made
it
90%
of
the
way
through
the
assembly
line
(生产线).
Most
employers
aren't
going
to
pay
you
for
having
a
degree
unless
you
finished
the
last
class
and
graduated.
Now
all
those
things
require
starting,
but
if
you
have
work
in
progress,
the
most
valuable
thing
you
can
do
is
to
pick
something
and
finish
it.
Finishing
is
where
you
start
benefiting
from
the
value
you've
created.
I've
noticed
that
many
successful
people
aren't
the
ones
who
are
the
smartest
or
have
the
best
ideas.
They
are
often
the
ones
who
do
the
best
job
of
taking
an
idea
and
completing
it.
A
good
idea
fully
carried
out
is
better
than
a
great
idea
that
never
gets
completed.
Does
this
mean
you
need
to
finish
everything
you
start?
Not
necessarily,
but
if
you
don't
think
something
is
worth
finishing,
be
honest
with
yourself
and
terminate
the
project.
Don't
leave
hundreds
of
half-finished
efforts
lying
around
physically
or
mentally
acting
like
you
are
going
to
come
back
and
pick
them
up.
If
you
need
to
drop
something,
do
so
strategically
and
intentionally.
If
you've
put
significant
effort
into
a
project,
you
may
still
benefit
from
finishing
it
even
if
you
wouldn't
start
it
again
based
on
changed
circumstances.
For
example,
if
you
are
in
your
last
few
months
before
graduating
from
college
and
realize
you
don't
want
to
career
in
what
you
are
majoring
in,
you
probably
should
go
ahead
and
graduate
because
there
is
significant
value
in
having
the
degree—even
if
you
don't
intend
to
actually
work
in
that
field.
What
projects
do
you
have
that
are
currently
in
progress?
Can
you
find
something
and
finish
it?

14.
答案 C
解析 细节理解题。根据文章第三段最后一句可知,除非你完成了最后一门课程并毕业,否则大多数雇主不会为你的学位支付薪水。因此大学生选择学习直到获得学位是能够创造价值的正确方式,故选项C正确。根据文章第三段前两句可知,不必完成所有开始了的事情,故选项A错误;根据文章第一段中“Farmers
can't
sell
their
grain
until
it
is
harvested.”可知,农民们只有等到粮食收割后才能出售他们的粮食,故选项B错误;根据文章第三段第三句可知,不要把成百上千的半途而废的工作放着,就好像你要回来把它们捡起来一样。因此选项D错误。
15.
