I
understand
that
you’re
looking
to
start
a
show
within
the
next
two
years.
Is
this
true?
M:
Yes.
I’ve
always
wanted
to
be
one
of
the
people
you
see
on
television
talking
to
guests
about
their
careers.
W:
Have
you
thought
about
other
options?
Those
types
of
shows
can
be
on
many
different
types
of
media.
Many
hosts
start
out
on
the
radio,
but
now
the
technology
is
better
and
you
can
even
make
a
show
on
the
Internet.
M:
I
want
it
to
be
the
show
that
people
watch
while
they’re
eating
dinner.
W:
That’s
a
good
goal,
but
it’ll
be
difficult
to
get
you
on
television
with
just
that
idea.
I

you
come
up
with
something
that
makes
you
different
from
the
other
similar
shows
airing
now.

M:
It’s

The
temperature

supposed

W:
Then
where
should

M:
I

the
coast

the

W:
But
the
beaches
will
be
too
crowded
today,
won’t
they?
It’s
Saturday,
so
everyone

M:
I
know
a
place

That
beach

rather
small

rocky,
but
it
will

swimming.
W:
Sounds

I’ll

Can
you

You’ll

it.
W:
All
right.
Do
you
want
me
to
pack
a
pair
of
pants
for
you?
M:
No,
I’ll
just
wear
my
swimsuit.
I
can
dry
off
in
the
sun
before
we
leave
the
beach.
W:
I’ll
take
extra
towels,
just
in
case.
M:
That’s
good.
We
can
lie
on
them
in
the
sun.
W:
And
if
there
aren’t
a
lot
of
trees,
we
can
hang
up
the
towels
for
some
shade.
M:
You
could
do
that,
but
not
for
me.

owner
replied,
“Anywhere
from
$30
to
$50.”
The
little
boy
reached
in
his
pocket
and
pulled
out
some
change.
“I
have
$2.37,”
he
said.
“Can
I
please
look
at
them?”
The
store
owner
smiled
and
whistled
and
out
came
a
lady
followed
by
five
teeny
tiny
balls
of
fur.
One
puppy
was
lagging
(落后)
considerably
behind.
Immediately
the
little
boy
picked
out
the
lagging
limping
(
跛行)
puppy
and
said,
“What’s
wrong
with
that
little
dog?”
The
store
owner
explained
that
the
vet
had
examined
the
little
puppy
and
had
discovered
it
would
always
limp.
The
little
boy
became
excited,
“That’s
the
little
puppy
that
I
want
to
buy.”
The
store
owner
said,
“No,
you
don’t
want
to
buy
that
little
dog.
If
you
really
want
him,
I’ll
just
give
him
to
you.”
The
little
boy
looked
straight
into
the
store
owner’s
eyes,
pointing
his
finger
and
said
offensively,
“I
don’t
want
you
to
give
him
to
me.
That
little
dog
is
worth
every
bit
as
much
as
all
the
other
dogs
and
I’ll
pay
full
price.
In
fact
I’ll
give
you
$2.37
now,
and
50
cents
a
month
until
I
have
him
paid
for."
The
store
owner
said,
“You
really
don’t
want
to
buy
this
little
dog.
He
is
never
going
to
be
able
to
jump
and
play
with
you
like
the
other
puppies.”
The
little
boy
reached
down
and
rolled
up
his
pant
leg
to
reveal
a
badly
twisted,
crippled
left
leg
supported
by
a
big
metal
brace
(支撑物).
He
looked
up
at
the
store
owner
and
softly
replied,
“Well,
I
don’t
run
so
well
myself,
and
the
little
puppy
will
need
a
friend
who
understands!”

【解析】
本文是记叙文。文章讲述了一个腿有残疾的小男孩去买小狗。店主想将一只腿瘸的小狗送给他,但是小男孩却愿意花高价买下这只小狗。他觉得小狗和自己一样都需要得到理解和尊重。
【24题详解】
细节理解题。根据文章第三段中“The
store
owner
said,
‘No,
you
don’t
want
to
buy
that
little
dog.
If
you
really
want
him,
I’ll
just
give
him
to
you.’”
当小男孩提出要买那只一瘸一拐的小狗时,店主人说如果小男孩真的想要那只小狗,就把小狗送给他而不是卖给他。故选A。
【25题详解】
推理判断题。根据文章第三段中“The
little
boy…said
offensively,‘I
don’t
want
you
to
give
him
to
me.
That
little
dog
is
worth
every
bit
as
much
as
all
the
other
dogs…’”。当店主说要把小狗送给小男孩,小男孩不要他送而是愿意用同样多的钱买。他觉得这只小狗和其他小狗一样值钱。由此可以推断,店主的回答让小男孩为那只小狗很烦感,认为他歧视这只小狗。故选B。
【26题详解】
细节理解题。根据文章第三段中小男孩所说的话“That
little
dog
is
worth
every
bit
as
much
as
all
the
other
dogs
and
I’ll
pay
full
price.
In
fact
I’ll
give
you
$2.37
now,
and
50
cents
a
month
until
I
have
him
paid
for.(这只小狗和其他小狗一样值钱,我会付全价的。事实上,我现在就给你2.37美元,每月再给你50美分,直到把它的钱付清为止)”可知,男孩最终以全价买下小狗。故选C。
【27题详解】
推理判断题。文章最后一段小男孩所说的话“Well,
I
don’t
run
so
well
myself,
and
the
little
puppy
will
need
a
friend
who
understands!”
可知,小男孩觉得那只腿瘸的小狗也和自己一样,需要能够理解它的朋友。从小男孩的故事中,我们可以知道小男孩虽然腿残疾,但是也需要理解和尊重。由此可以推断,从这篇文章中我们可以懂得尊重他人是我们每个人都应该学的一课。故选D。

Young

【解析】
本文为说明文。本文主要介绍了Z一代人的特点,对他们生存的时代背景和现状进行阐述。
【28题详解】
词义猜测题。根据画线词上文“They
are
entering
adulthood
and
will
soon
shape
our
future,
which
is
why
policy
makers,
as
well
as
employers
and
marketers,
are
trying
their
best
to
understand
these
young
people.
(他们正在步入成年,并将很快塑造我们的未来,这就是为什么政策制定者、雇主和营销人员正在尽最大努力了解这些年轻人)”可知,上文提到人们正在尽力了解这些年轻人,结合后文对Z一代人的特点等情况进行了说明,故画线短语所在句的意思是:我们如何清楚地了解Z一代?即画线部分意思为“清楚地了解”,故选D。
【29题详解】
细节理解题。根据第四段中“Instead
of
party
politics,
they
focus
more
on
single-topic
issues
such
as
feminism(女权主义)
or
climate
change.
(他们更关注女权主义或气候变化等单一话题,而不是政党政治)”可知,他们参与政治的特别之处在于他们参与女权主义或气候变化等特定的主题。故选A。
【30题详解】
推理判断题。根据第二段“This
is
a
group
of
people
who
were
hooked
up
to
social
media
as
soon
as
they
were
born(这是一群一出生就和社交媒体联系在一起的人)”;倒数第二段“It
is
noted
that

are
becoming
more
active
in
Politics(值得注意的是,英国的年轻人在政治上变得越来越活跃)”以及最后一段中“Gen
Z-ers

creators.(
Z一代也是文化创造者)”等句描述可见,他们利用社交媒体参与政治,参与文化的创造等,可推断出他们有社会责任感。故选A

【31题详解】
推理判断题。作者对Generation
Z这一代人的特点、他们生存的时代背景和现状等进行了客观阐述,在本文中并没有倾向性的态度表达。由此可推知,作者对Z一代持客观态度。故选C。

Love
the
way
you
walk
Listen
carefully
to
the
footsteps
in
the
family
home,
and
you
can
probably
work
out
who
is
walking
about.
The
features
most
commonly
used
to
identify
people
are
faces,
voices
and
fingerprints.
But
the
way
they
walk
is
also
a
giveaway.
Researchers
have
used
video
cameras
and
computers
to
analyze
people’s
gaits,
and
are
now
quite
good
at
it.
But
translating
such
knowledge
into
a
practical
identification
system
can
be
tricky.
Cameras
are
often
visible,
are
difficult
to
set
up,
require
good
lighting
and
may
have
their
view
blocked
by
other
people.
A
team
led
by
Dr.
Ozanyan
and
Dr.
Scully
have
been
looking
for
a
better
way
to
recognize
gait.
Their
answer:
pressure-sensitive
mats.
Such
mats
are
nothing
new.
They
have
been
part
of
security
systems.
But
Ozanyan
and
Scully
use
a
complicated
version
that
can
record
the
amount
of
pressure
applied
in
different
places
as
someone
walks
across
it.
These
measurements
form
a
pattern
unique
to
the
walker.
The
researchers
turned
to
an
artificial-intelligence
system
to
recognize
such
patterns,
and
it
seemed
to
work.
In
a
study
in
2018,
they
tested
the
system
on
a
database
of
footsteps
of
127
people.
They
found
its
error
rate
in
identifying
who
was
who
was
a
mere
0.7%.
And
Scully
says
even
without
a
database
of
footsteps
to
work
with,
the
system
can
determine
someone’s
sex
and,
with
reasonable
accuracy,
a
subject’s
age.
One
application
of
the
mat-based
gait-recognition
system
might
be
in
health
care,
particularly
for
the
elderly.
A
mat
placed
in
a
nursing
home
or
an
old
person’s
own
residence
could
monitor
changes
in
an
individual’s
gait
that
indicates
certain
illnesses.
That
would
provide
early
warning
of
someone
being
at
greater
risk
of
falling
over.
Gait
analysis
might
also
be
used
as
a
security
measure
in
the
workplace,
monitoring
access
to
restricted
areas,
such
as
parts
of
military
bases,
server
farms
or
laboratories
dealing
with
dangerous
materials.
Perhaps
the
most
interesting
use
of
the
mats,
though,
would
be
in
public
places,
such
as
airports.
For
that
to
work,
the
footsteps
of
those
to
be
recognized
would
need
to
have
been
stored
in
a
database,
which
would
be
harder
to
arrange
than
the
collection
of
photographs
and
fingerprints
that
existing
airport
security
systems
rely
on.
Many
aircrew
or
preregistered
frequent
flyers
would
welcome
anything
that
speeded
up
one
of
the
most
tiresome
parts
of
modern
travel.

Is
Managing
Kids'
Screen
Time
a
Good
Idea?
Screen
time
is
a
big
topic
of
conversation
in
today's
households,
particularly
during
the
pandemic
when
online
education
hours
have
multiplied
for
many
students.___36___They
hope
to
spare
their
kids
from
the
countless
challenges
that
technology
can
bring.
Yet
the
challenges
of
screen
time
overuse
seldom
come
from
kids'
devices
themselves,
but
rather
from
the
tense
relationships
that
technology
can
bring
to
families.___37___But
technology
has
positive
benefits
too.
Since
every
child
and
family
is
different,
managing
screen
time
calls
for
joint
family
decision-making.
If
parents
believe
they
can
manage
a
child's
screen
time
through
adolescence,
they
are
not
only
fooling
themselves
but
also
inviting
relationship
trouble
with
their
teens.
It
is
a
myth
to
think
that
parents
can
or
should
manage
their
kids'
screen
time
through
authoritarian
restrictions,
even
during
elementary
school.
___38___
When
children
are
left
out
of
those
decisions,
they
often
become
less
communicative
with
parents
and
siblings.
This
is
the
opposite
of
what
parents
want
to
achieve.
___39___
From
early
ages,
children
are
quite
capable
of
understanding
that
a
good
life
involves
awareness
and
balance.
Just
as
they
learn
right
from
wrong,
and
good
from
bad,
they
can
also
learn
to
use
technology
in
healthy
ways.
Learning
how
to
regulate
oneself
and
develop
healthy
behaviors
is
one
of
the
primary
tasks
of
childhood
and
adolescence.
What
happens
when
an
adult
tries
to
regulate
a
child
is
that
the
child
misses
out
on
the
opportunity
to
learn
for
themselves.
Enforced
restrictions
can
also
make
children
feel
helpless
and
less
confident.
To
be
clear,
this
article
is
not
suggesting
that
families
never
use
apps
or
trackers,
or
that
there
should
be
no
restrictions
on
screen
time.___40___Parents
should
give
voice
to
children
and
involve
them
in
the
planning
and
decision-making
process.
A.
Of
course,
there
are
websites
that
are
unhealthy
for
kids
to
access.
B.
The
alternative
is
to
involve
children
in
decisions
that
govern
screen
time.
C.
However,
every
family
needs
a
family
media
plan
between
family
members.
D.
The
goal
is
to
see,
hear,
feel,
and
understand
how
children
view
screen
time.
E.
To
manage
children's
screen
time,
parents
have
invested
in
apps
and
trackers.
F.
To
get
children
involved,
parents
should
trust
and
develop
kids'
self-awareness.

What
it

that

time”对应本段尾句中的“managing
screen
time”,承接上下文,E选项“为了管理孩子们的屏幕时间,家长们投资了应用程序和追踪器。”切题。故选E项。
【37题详解】
由下一句“但是科技也有积极的好处。”可知,But表转折,空后说科技的好处,此空应说科技不好的地方,比如不健康的网站对孩子不好,承接下文,A选项“当然,有些网站对孩子来说是不健康的。”切题。故选A项。
【38题详解】
由上一句“这是个神话,认为父母可以或应该通过专制的限制来管理孩子的荧屏时间,甚至在小学阶段也是如此。”和下一句“当孩子们被排除在这些决定之外时,他们通常会减少与父母和兄弟姐妹的交流。”可知,对于管理孩子们的屏幕时间,父母专制型的监管很难实现,而且当孩子被排除在“屏幕时间管理”的决定外,又会带来消极影响,说明作者认为孩子应该参与到“屏幕时间管理”的决策中,该选项中的“decisions”对应下文中的“those
decisions”,承接上下文,B选项“另一种选择是让孩子们参与决定屏幕时间。”切题。故选B项。
【39题详解】
由下两句“从很小的时候起,孩子们就很有能力理解良好的生活需要意识和平衡。正如他们从错误中学习正确,从错误中学习好,他们也可以学习以健康的方式使用技术。”可知,孩子有能力理解一些事物,也能学习各种使用技术,说明孩子是有自主(学习)意识的,所以让孩子参与到“屏幕时间管理”的决策中时,父母要信任孩子有自我意识去学习、理解事物,承接下文,F选项“为了让孩子参与进来,父母应该信任并培养孩子的自我意识。”切题。故选F项。
【40题详解】
由上一句“明确地说,这篇文章并不是建议家庭永远不要使用应用程序或追踪器,或者不应该限制屏幕时间。”和下一句“父母应该让孩子们有发言权,让他们参与计划和决策过程。”可知,文章并非不建议父母不去管理孩子的屏幕时间,而是建议父母让孩子也参与到“屏幕时间管理”的决策中,相对于父母专制型的完全监管,这是一种不一样的管理屏幕时间方式,承接上下文,G选项“它的建议是,家长们应该用不同的方式来管理屏幕时间。”切题。故选G项。

have
to
make
a
apology
to
someone”是定语从句,先行词plenty

situations意思为“多种情况”,在从句中做地点状语,应该用where引导定语从句。故将which改为where。
2.考查冠词。句意:经常在很多情况下,我们必须向某人道歉。apology的发音是以元音音素开头,应该用不定冠词an。故将a改为an。
3.考查非谓语动词。句意:有效的表达歉意的方法能让你更容易得到原谅。短语approach
to
doing…“
做……的方法”,其中to是介词,后接动名词形式作宾语。故将express改为expressing。
4.考查副词。句意:有效的表达歉意的方法能让你更容易得到原谅。修饰动词短语receive
forgiveness,应该用副词形式。故将easy改为easily。
5.考查不定式。句意:只要你想弥补你们之间的关系,你最好主动打破僵局。此处是短语volunteer
to
do
…“主动做……”,后接不定式作宾语。故break前加to。
6.考查介词。句意:另一方面,强调一些特定词的重音对道歉的意义和力度有很大的影响。此处是短语have
an
impact
on
…“对……有影响”。故将in改为on。
7.考查可数名词单复数。句意:另一种加强道歉的方式是使用和强调副词:I
'm
really
sorry,
I
'm
so
sorry。根据后面的例子中的really,so可知,应是不同的副词,adverb应该用复数形式。故将adverb改为adverbs。
8.考查主语从句引导词。句意:此外,你总是与你道歉的人保持眼神交流意味着你考虑到了他的情绪。分析句子结构,“......
you
always
keep
eye
contact
with
the
person
you
apologize
to
him”是主语从句,从句句意完整,不缺少任何成分,应该用that引导主语从句;what引导主语从句时在从句中作成分。故将what改为that。
9.考查定语从句。句意:此外,你总是与你道歉的人保持眼神交流意味着你考虑到了他的情绪。分析句子结构,“you
apologize
to
him”是定语从句,先行词the
person,关系词代替它在从句中充当介词to的宾语,应用关系代词who/that/whom,又关系代词作宾语可省,所以此处省略了指代the
person的关系代词,因此him多余。故删掉him。
10.考查主谓一致。句意:最后但同样重要的是,所有的秘诀都在于你真诚的态度。该句是一个完全倒装句,主语是your
sincere
attitude,此处attitude是抽象名词,不可数,结合语境和上文的works可知,本句为一般现在时,谓语动词lie应用单数第三人称形式。故将lie改为lies。

A
store
owner
was
putting
a
sign
up
his
door
that
reads
“Puppies
For
Sale”.
Signs
like
that
have
a
way
of
appealing
to
small
children,
and
sure
enough,
a
little
boy
appeared
under
the
store
owner’s
sign.
“How
much
are
you
going
to
sell
the
puppies
for?”
he
asked.
The
store
owner
replied,
“Anywhere
from
$30
to
$50.”
The
little
boy
reached
in
his
pocket
and
pulled
out
some
change.
“I
have
$2.37,”
he
said.
“Can
I
please
look
at
them?”
The
store
owner
smiled
and
whistled
and
out
came
a
lady
followed
by
five
teeny
tiny
balls
of
fur.
One
puppy
was
lagging
(落后)
considerably
behind.
Immediately
the
little
boy
picked
out
the
lagging
limping
(
跛行)
puppy
and
said,
“What’s
wrong
with
that
little
dog?”
The
store
owner
explained
that
the
vet
had
examined
the
little
puppy
and
had
discovered
it
would
always
limp.
The
little
boy
became
excited,
“That’s
the
little
puppy
that
I
want
to
buy.”
The
store
owner
said,
“No,
you
don’t
want
to
buy
that
little
dog.
If
you
really
want
him,
I’ll
just
give
him
to
you.”
The
little
boy
looked
straight
into
the
store
owner’s
eyes,
pointing
his
finger
and
said
offensively,
“I
don’t
want
you
to
give
him
to
me.
That
little
dog
is
worth
every
bit
as
much
as
all
the
other
dogs
and
I’ll
pay
full
price.
In
fact
I’ll
give
you
$2.37
now,
and
50
cents
a
month
until
I
have
him
paid
for."
The
store
owner
said,
“You
really
don’t
want
to
buy
this
little
dog.
He
is
never
going
to
be
able
to
jump
and
play
with
you
like
the
other
puppies.”
The
little
boy
reached
down
and
rolled
up
his
pant
leg
to
reveal
a
badly
twisted,
crippled
left
leg
supported
by
a
big
metal
brace
(支撑物).
He
looked
up
at
the
store
owner
and
softly
replied,
“Well,
I
don’t
run
so
well
myself,
and
the
little
puppy
will
need
a
friend
who
understands!”
24.

asked

response?

Upset.
C.
Delighted.

26.
Which
of
the
following

at
full
price.

27.
What
can
we
learn
from
this
passage?
A.
Everything
is
good
when
new,
but
friend
when
old.
B
A
friend
is
a
second
self.
C.
Money
isn’t
everything.
D.
Respect
is
a
lesson
that
everyone
should
learn.
C
Forget
about
the
“post-1995
generation”.
Young
people
born
in
1995
or
later
have
another
name
in
English

Generation
Z.
They
are
entering
adulthood
and
will
soon
shape
our
future,
which
is
why
policy
makers,
as
well
as
employers
and
marketers,
are
trying
their
best
to
understand
these
young
people.
So,
how
should
we
pin
down
the
Gen
Z-ers?
Most
people
will
agree
that
the
single
biggest
difference
between
Gen-Z
and
other
generations
is
how
connected
they
are.
This
is
a
group
of
people
who
had
access
to
social
media
as
soon
as
they
were
born.
Social
media
has
changed
the
way
Gen
Z-ers
interact
with
each
other
and
how
they
get
and
process
information.
They
read
news
from
Twitter,
watch
videos
from
Vine,
share
experiences
in
Instagram
and
post
recipes
in
Pinterest.
“We
are
the
first
true
digital
natives.
I
can
almost
simultaneously
create
a
document,
edit
it,
post
a
photo
on
Instagram
and
talk
on
the
phone,
all
from
the
user-friendly
iPhone,”
said
Hannah
Payne,
an
18-year-old
UCLA
student.
It
is
noted
that
young
people
in
the
UK
are
becoming
more
active
in
Politics.
Young
people
regard
voting
as
one
option
among
many
to
show
their
political
engagement
that
can
potentially
influence
policies.
Instead
of
party
politics,
they
focus
more
on
single-topic
issues
such
as
feminism
or
climate
change.
And
“much
of
the
engagement
and
organizing
they
do
takes
place
on
social
media
rather
than
through
traditional
political
structures,”
according
to
the
Guardians.
Gen
Z-ers
are
also
culture
creators.
Growing
up
with
the
Internet
has
freed
this
generation
from
traditional
cultural
expression.
They
are
no
longer
willing
to
let
their
creativity
be
limited
by
their
parents
or
traditional
rules.
“We
decide
what
kind
of
content
we
want
to
experience
and
choose
how
we
experience
it,”
wrote
Masback,
a
Huffington
Post
blogger
and
a
Gen
Z-er
herself.

Love
the
way
you
walk
Listen
carefully
to
the
footsteps
in
the
family
home,
and
you
can
probably
work
out
who
is
walking
about.
The
features
most
commonly
used
to
identify
people
are
faces,
voices
and
fingerprints.
But
the
way
they
walk
is
also
a
giveaway.
Researchers
have
used
video
cameras
and
computers
to
analyze
people’s
gaits,
and
are
now
quite
good
at
it.
But
translating
such
knowledge
into
a
practical
identification
system
can
be
tricky.
Cameras
are
often
visible,
are
difficult
to
set
up,
require
good
lighting
and
may
have
their
view
blocked
by
other
people.
A
team
led
by
Dr.
Ozanyan
and
Dr.
Scully
have
been
looking
for
a
better
way
to
recognize
gait.
Their
answer:
pressure-sensitive
mats.
Such
mats
are
nothing
new.
They
have
been
part
of
security
systems.
But
Ozanyan
and
Scully
use
a
complicated
version
that
can
record
the
amount
of
pressure
applied
in
different
places
as
someone
walks
across
it.
These
measurements
form
a
pattern
unique
to
the
walker.
The
researchers
turned
to
an
artificial-intelligence
system
to
recognize
such
patterns,
and
it
seemed
to
work.
In
a
study
in
2018,
they
tested
the
system
on
a
database
of
footsteps
of
127
people.
They
found
its
error
rate
in
identifying
who
was
who
was
a
mere
0.7%.
And
Scully
says
even
without
a
database
of
footsteps
to
work
with,
the
system
can
determine
someone’s
sex
and,
with
reasonable
accuracy,
a
subject’s
age.
One
application
of
the
mat-based
gait-recognition
system
might
be
in
health
care,
particularly
for
the
elderly.
A
mat
placed
in
a
nursing
home
or
an
old
person’s
own
residence
could
monitor
changes
in
an
individual’s
gait
that
indicates
certain
illnesses.
That
would
provide
early
warning
of
someone
being
at
greater
risk
of
falling
over.
Gait
analysis
might
also
be
used
as
a
security
measure
in
the
workplace,
monitoring
access
to
restricted
areas,
such
as
parts
of
military
bases,
server
farms
or
laboratories
dealing
with
dangerous
materials.
Perhaps
the
most
interesting
use
of
the
mats,
though,
would
be
in
public
places,
such
as
airports.
For
that
to
work,
the
footsteps
of
those
to
be
recognized
would
need
to
have
been
stored
in
a
database,
which
would
be
harder
to
arrange
than
the
collection
of
photographs
and
fingerprints
that
existing
airport
security
systems
rely
on.
Many
aircrew
or
preregistered
frequent
flyers
would
welcome
anything
that
speeded
up
one
of
the
most
tiresome
parts
of
modern
travel.

to
_______.
A.

C.
keep

Is
Managing
Kids'
Screen
Time
a
Good
Idea?
Screen
time
is
a
big
topic
of
conversation
in
today's
households,
particularly
during
the
pandemic
when
online
education
hours
have
multiplied
for
many
students.___36___They
hope
to
spare
their
kids
from
the
countless
challenges
that
technology
can
bring.
Yet
the
challenges
of
screen
time
overuse
seldom
come
from
kids'
devices
themselves,
but
rather
from
the
tense
relationships
that
technology
can
bring
to
families.___37___But
technology
has
positive
benefits
too.
Since
every
child
and
family
is
different,
managing
screen
time
calls
for
joint
family
decision-making.
If
parents
believe
they
can
manage
a
child's
screen
time
through
adolescence,
they
are
not
only
fooling
themselves
but
also
inviting
relationship
trouble
with
their
teens.
It
is
a
myth
to
think
that
parents
can
or
should
manage
their
kids'
screen
time
through
authoritarian
restrictions,
even
during
elementary
school.
___38___
When
children
are
left
out
of
those
decisions,
they
often
become
less
communicative
with
parents
and
siblings.
This
is
the
opposite
of
what
parents
want
to
achieve.
___39___
From
early
ages,
children
are
quite
capable
of
understanding
that
a
good
life
involves
awareness
and
balance.
Just
as
they
learn
right
from
wrong,
and
good
from
bad,
they
can
also
learn
to
use
technology
in
healthy
ways.
Learning
how
to
regulate
oneself
and
develop
healthy
behaviors
is
one
of
the
primary
tasks
of
childhood
and
adolescence.
What
happens
when
an
adult
tries
to
regulate
a
child
is
that
the
child
misses
out
on
the
opportunity
to
learn
for
themselves.
Enforced
restrictions
can
also
make
children
feel
helpless
and
less
confident.
To
be
clear,
this
article
is
not
suggesting
that
families
never
use
apps
or
trackers,
or
that
there
should
be
no
restrictions
on
screen
time.___40___Parents
should
give
voice
to
children
and
involve
them
in
the
planning
and
decision-making
process.
A.
Of
course,
there
are
websites
that
are
unhealthy
for
kids
to
access.
B.
The
alternative
is
to
involve
children
in
decisions
that
govern
screen
time.
C.
However
every
family
needs
a
family
media
plan
between
family
members.
D.
The
goal
is
to
see,
hear,
feel,
and
understand
how
children
view
screen
time.
E.
To
manage
children's
screen
time,
parents
have
invested
in
apps
and
trackers.
F.
To
get
children
involved,
parents
should
trust
and
develop
kids'
self-awareness.
G.
What
it
is
suggesting
is
that
parents
look
at
managing
screen
time
in
a
different
way.

We
are
often
in
plenty
of
situations

we
have
to
make
a
apology
to
someone.
Effective
approaches
to
express
your
apologies
can
really
help
you
receive
forgiveness
easy.
For
one
thing
it
is
not
important
who
is
the
first
one
to
say
sorry.
As
long
as
you
want
to
make
up
for
the
relationship,
you
had
better
volunteer

the
ice.
For
another,
placing
stress
on
particular
words
has
a
big
impact
in
the
meaning
and
strength
of
apologies.
For
example,
saying
“I’m
sorry”
can
have
more
of
an
impact
than
“I’m
sorry”.
Another
way
of
strengthening
apologies
is
by
using
and
stressing
adverb:
I’m
really
sorry,
I’m
so
sorry.
Besides,
what
you
always
keep
eye
contact
with
the
person
you
apologize
to
him
means
you
take
his
emotion
into
consideration.
It
really
works
when
you
apologize
to
someone
face
to
face.
Last
but
not
least,
above
all
the
tips
lie
your
sincere
attitude.
