在复合句中，由一个句子充当宾语，这个句子叫作宾语从句。本单元主要学习由 that, if /whether 引导的宾语从句。掌握宾语从句的引导词、语序和时态是学好宾语从句的关键。仔细观察下面的例句，然后补全结论部分所缺的内容。
宾语从句
陈述句作宾语时，宾语从句用 ______引导。它在只起连接作用，没有实际意义，在从句中不充当任何成分，因此常可省略。
一般疑问句作宾语时，宾语从句用 ____________ 引导。它们在句子中的意思是______, 在从句中不充当任何成分，但不可省略。

一般来说，在宾语从句中 if 与whether可以互换使用。但在特殊情况下，两者不能互换。只能用whether，不能用if引导的情况：

（3）时态
宾语从句的时态一般受主句时态的影响。如果主句是一般现在时，宾语从句可根据需要使用适当的时态。

注意：一般情况下，以what和how开头的感 叹句可以相互转换，
转换后意义不变。
