形容词比较级与最高级讲解：
（1）比较级：当我们需要对事物做出比较时，需用到比较级。
比较级的标志词：than, or, of the two
比较级的结构：主语+动词be（am/is/are）+形容词比较级+than(比)+其他
eg: ： I am taller than you. 我比你高。
（2）比较级的变化规则
形容词的比较级是在形容词的基础上变来的，它的变化规则是：
一般的直接在词尾加er. 如：tall---taller long---longer
以e结尾的直接加r. 如：nice----nicer
以辅音字母加y结尾的，直接把y改为i再加er. 如：happy---happier ;heavy—heavier
④以重读闭音节结尾的，双写末尾的辅音字母再加er. 如：big---bigger, hot—hotter

many/much(原形)-----more(比较级)------most(最高级)；
little/few(原形)-------less(比较级)------- least(最高级)；

far(原形)----farther/further（比较级）-----farthest/furthest(最高级)；
old(原形)----older/elder（比较级）-----oldest/eldest(最高级).

英国留学日记英国人不太忌讳问年龄
在国内英文课上，我们都被这样教导，在西方，年龄属于个人隐私，询问别人的年龄是一件不礼貌的行为。
然而，在英国读书生活的3年里，我却经常被外国人问年龄，这使我既惊讶又迷惑，却又甚感好笑。
第一次飞向英国，我独自乘机到达曼城机场。学校派了一个英国男子接我，高个、红脸、秃头。见面聊天不久，他就直接问我一句“How old are you ”。
我愣了一下，咦，英国人不是不问年龄吗 对于年龄之事，本人并不太忌讳，因此，我诚实地说了自己的年龄。

我想，按照咱们中国人的说法，来而不往非礼也，就问他多大了 此时，这位先生却不太愿说出自己的年龄。这是英国给我的第一个惊讶。
到达学校，办理了手续后，住进宿舍。室友是两个德国女生。她们是交换生，来英国学英语。像大多数德国人一样，她们为人处世有礼严谨，细致周到。有空时，我们会一起出去游玩。
那时，恰好是春末夏初，英国的乡村红花绿树，风光如诗如画。一天，我们一起闲聊，她们问我“How old are you ”。哦，还是这个问题，不过，我没有了第一次那样惊讶，同样地，我诚实回答。
然后，我回问她们同一个问题，她们就有点不情愿地回答了。我心里有点好笑，怎么这外国人对别人的年龄都这么感兴趣呢
