第二课时教学设计
教材分析 本课时围绕贝蒂对Mrs Li的采访，从生活条件、妇女地位、旅行交通和生活娱乐等方面对过去和现在生活进行比较，使学生更深刻的了解社会的变化和历史的变迁。
课时教学目标 学习基本的词汇和表达方式;能读懂关于社会变化的文章并能够进行写作。
教学重点与难点 怎样写文章表述自己的观点。

Step 1: Lead-in & vocabulary Teacher: Show some things that were used in the past. Present a passage about my own childhood. At the same time, lead in the new vocabulary.Students: Enjoy the things the teacher shows. Listen and watchthe presentation and learn some new vocabulary. 本环节通过教师带来的儿时玩具带入本单元话题，同时通过教师的陈述使学生在语境下学习新的词汇。
Step 2: Reading Teacher: Ask students to read the questions first and then read the passage quietly to find out the answers. Check the answers. Later, ask students to read for more details.Students: Do as the teacher ask them to do. 本环节设计目的在训练学生快速阅读的能力和查找细节信息的能力。培养学生带着问题读文章。解决问题过程中可以进行小组讨论，提高合作学习能力。
Step 3: Useful expressions Teacher: Show the Chinese meanings. Ask students to read the passage aloud to find out the expressions. Then ask students to discuss and check their answers.After that, ask students to read and try to remember them. Three minutes later, check some.Students: Do as the teacher ask to. Try to remember the expressions in class. 本环节旨在帮助学生在语篇中理解并学习重点表达方式的用法。
Step4: Read & retell Teacher: ask students to read the passage aloud and try to retell it. Then ask some students to retell according to the PPT.Students: read the passage aloud and try to retell it. 本环节旨在进一步巩固学生语言知识的输入，培养学生语感。通过游戏选择的方式，活跃课堂气氛，减轻学生复述短文的紧张情绪。
Step5: Writing Teacher: ask students to discuss in groups about their parents’ childhood and the life today. Take some notes. Write a passage. At last, ask some students to present.Students: work in groups to discuss the topics and then write a passage. 本环节目的是使学生在充分输入之后能够有效输出，培养学生的表达能力提高写作水平。小组讨论培养学生合作学习能力。
Step6: Summary & Classroom Assessment Teacher: Ask students to speak out the words and useful expressions aloud to summarize what we have learnt.Students: Speak out the words and useful expressions. 本环节旨在帮助学生归纳本单元重点内容并进行检测。
家庭作业：1.Finish the exercises.2. Review the comparative and superlative degrees on Page 97.
