We know that many children have problems in learning body language. If your children do, there are some ways for you.
Match the actions(动作) to the messages. Teach your children what different body language can show. When someone is playing with the fingers, it means that he is bored or he doesn’t catch what you’re saying.
Give examples(例子). If you’re watching TV together, you can turn down the sound. Then you can ask your children, “Why do you think the person feels that way ” And you can say things, like “his face is red”. It helps your children know the way to show what they think.
Play games. It is good for all family members to play a game about body language. You can write different emotions on cards, such as happiness, sadness, anger and so on. Then some of you draw pictures and show them, and the other family members try to guess what they are. You all may have much fun. And your children can understand these words well.
Think more. Just the actions can’t show all the things. You need to teach your children to think about sound and words to get all the information. With the help of both of them, children can learn more about body language.

When we have good news, we like to talk about it with our good friends and when something terrible happens, we make it known to others soon. But can you imagine that a tree can talk about news with each other too Of course, no tree moves lips (嘴唇) and says words just as people do. It may sound strange, but some trees really try to talk with each other.
Willow (柳树) trees are the best-known of these trees. When insects begin nibbling (叮咬) a willow tree, the tree sends out a special smell at once. This smell tells the other willows that harmful insects are coming near. All of them quickly make a chemical (化学物质) in their leaves. This chemical is bad for the insects. The insects do not like it and they fly away soon. In this way, the willow trees protect themselves from the insects.

Dear Andy,
Nice hearing from you. Let me tell you what we often do on World Water Day.
On 22 March, all the teachers and students of our school take part in different activities. Lots of students put on short plays. Some plays are funny, and they show us wasting water is bad for humans. Many students take part in the speech competition. They tell us what we should do to save water. Some teachers and students make posters and put them up in the school and neighbourhood. In this way, more people know World Water Day and join us.
All these activities are helpful. More and more people know the importance of water and begin to save it. Maybe you do the same.
Yours,
