1.关系代词在定语从句中作介词的宾语时，从句常由“介词+which/ whom”引导。
2.若介词放在关系代词前,关系代词指物时只能用________________________(句1和句2);关系代词指人时只能用____________________(句3和句4)。

2. 介词的位置
①一般情况下，介词一般放在关系代词which和whom之前，也可放在动词后。

当定语从句中的谓语动词是带介词的短语动词时,短语动词中的介词不能前置。

②固定搭配的动词短语中的介词一般不能提前.
常见的这类动词短语有:
look for/after/forward to,
care for(照顾，喜欢）
hear of/about/from, take care of等.

The girl whom he is looking after is his sister.
3.介词＋关系代词前还可用some，any，none，all，both，neither，many，most，each，few等，代词、名词或数词等构成复合介词短语。
Tony loves his parents deeply, both of whom are very kind to him.
There are fifty students in my class, most of whom study hard.
After living in Beijing for forty years my grandfather
returned to the small town in which (= ______________) he grew up as a child.

4.引导定语从句的“介词+which”也可以用关系副词来代替。如:

5. whose的先行词指物时, 可用of which代替,
但词序不同，
即whose+名词=the +n + of which
=of which + the + n.
