教材分析
本课是本单元的起始课，起到了激活主题 “信息技术”相关背景知识的作用，并为本单元后面的教学内容做了话题、词汇以及思维的铺垫，启发学生思考。两段听力文本均为两人对话，谈论了信息技术发展的利与弊，属于“人与社会”主题语境下的“科学与技术”话题。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1. 通过听获取说话人上网和使用多种应用程序的原因；
2. 口头谈论信息技术的应用和影响；
3. 合理、完整、全面地评价信息技术的发展。
教学重难点
【教学重点】
1. 通过对听力文本的梳理内化，学生能够获取说话人上网和使用多种应用程序的原因；口头谈论信息技术的应用和影响。
2. 启发学生思考并学会表达信息技术对实际生活的影响、存在的问题以及我们应该趋利避害，对信息技术的使用采取积极态度。
【教学难点】
引导学生既要学会用英语谈论信息技术给人们带来的利与弊，又要学会合理安排使用信息技术的时间，理性对待。
