Dear Ryan,
I'm Li Hua from Class 3. I think it's not a good idea to randomly pair up students for the spoken English training after class. The reasons are as follows.
To begin with, randomly pairing up students may lead to unbalanced language abilities within the groups. This can hinder the progress of students as the more advanced one may dominate the conversation, leaving little room for the other students to improve. Besides, students may feel uncomfortable or less motivated if paired with someone who they don't get along with or have difficulty communicating with.
My suggestion is to group students based on their language abilities or to let students choose their own partners. This way, everyone can feel more comfortable practicing and improving their spoken English together.

Youth and Me
When our school English newspaper Youth is celebrating its 10th anniversary, I remember reading the newspaper for the first time. At that time my English was a mess. And I even wanted to give it up. But the interesting stories told in simple English in the newspaper attracted me and restored my confidence in learning English. From then on, I have made great progress in English.
Of all the columns, I like the column of Traveling All Over The World, where I can get information about a lot of things abroad such as music, literature, education, sports, science and technology, which can not only improve my English, especially the abilities of English reading and writing, but also broaden my horizons.
I hope Youth will be much more helpful to the students in the future!

A Cross-Country Running Race
Last Sunday witnessed an extraordinary cross-country running race, which nearly drew the attention of every student and teacher of our school.
The students selected from every class took part in the competition. The route measured five kilometers, from our school gate to the foot of Nanshan Mountain. Every runner tried their best to finish the task, with their classmates along the way giving them necessary help as well as encouragement. At last, all the runners managed to arrive at the finish line, receiving cheers from all the directions.
The activity was highly spoken of, because not only did it provide chance for us to exercise, but also made us more cohesive.
