U1 ①善意的谎言
When a doctor chooses not to tell his patient the truth that he or she cannot be cured, he is telling a white lie.
Generally speaking, people tell white lies mainly for two reasons. First, it is not always polite to tell the truth. Sometimes, we need to make up stories to show our politeness. Second, honesty can hurt people's feelings at times, while white lies can help avoid that. However, it is questionable that white lies can always be good.
In my opinion, we should be careful with the words we use to make people comfortable instead of cheating others.
②诚信与责任
Honesty and responsibility are two traditional virtues of our nation. Without them, there would be a
trust crisis and our society would be out of order.
People take in others mainly for their own interests. For example, some students cheat in exams in order to get higher grades. Meanwhile, irresponsible people are often afraid of taking the consequences.
As for me, I will learn to be honest and responsible in my daily life. Do my best to complete what I should do and bravely face the results.

It can be clearly seen that an increasing number of foreigners are learning Chinese nowadays, many of them learning it from kindergarten to high school.
Honestly speaking, I feel so proud that our language is taking off across the globe. On the one hand, it shows our growing national power. On the other hand, it builds a bridge for people to better understand our culture.
In the long run, I believe there will be a tendency toward the growing popularity of learning Chinese, because it will not only help know attractive Chinese culture, but also help gain a promising job opportunity.

With the graduation drawing near, I've made up my mind about future career in computer engineering.
It is not an easy job to be a qualified computer programmer. I have to work hard to learn mathematics and physics, so that I can lay a solid foundation for computer science. Meanwhile, I have to master a variety of computer languages, creating and testing code that allows computer applications and programmes to function.
Since I'm clear about my future career, what I can do now is spare no effort to make my dream come true.

There are various kinds of careers in the world. As for me, I have made up my mind to be a teacher.
I want to be a teacher in the future because I think teaching is the most glorious career in the world. No thing is more important than education to a nation. I'm willing to devote myself to education. Besides, I like communicating with students. It can help me to keep a young heart to stay with students.
But teaching is not an easy job. I must study hard toobtain more knowledge. What's more, I will learn how to get on well with students. I think I will be a good teacher in the future.

Reading plays an important role in our life. We cannot only gain knowledge through it, but it can also enrich our daily life.
As is shown in a survey, nowadays, a majority of people increasingly rely on their digital devices, which results in some problems. Surrounded by so much temptation, many people find it difficult to concentrate on their reading. Besides, spending long time on the screen does much damage to our health.
In order to encourage traditional reading, we can organize book exchanges on weekends or join a reading group and share what we read with others.

As is known to all, animals are of great importanceto our world. But due to human activities, wild animals are in danger.So we should spare no efforts to protect animals.
There are many ways to protect animals. First of all, we should establish wild animal protection areas. Besides, the government should set the laws on animals protection. Last but not least, we should call on people to learn more about wild animals and treat them as our friends.
If we can do as mentioned above, there is no doubt that we can live in harmony with our animal friends.
