Applying for a job usually means preparing two items, a letter of application and your resume.
It is most important to mention skills and experience in an application letter. Your resume should include information that relates to the employer?s job requirements. If you are a recent graduate without much work experience, you can:
● include unpaid work such as an internship or volunteer work;
● include a positive summary of the tasks you did and skills you developed while you were still a student at school.
Of course, all this should concern the job requirements.

Useful Expressions for Letter of Application
Expressions for opening part:
● I am writing to apply for the concierge (门房) position advertised in the Times Union.
● I am writing concerning the tour guide position currently available at AAA Tours.
● I wish to apply for the position of driver with AAA Tours as advertised in xxx Daily on 13 May, 2013.

1.Inside name & address:收信人姓名和地址。即招聘公司人事部的负责人姓名及公司地址。
2.Salutation:称呼。求职信属正式书信,称呼也需在姓氏之前冠以礼貌头衔,如:Mr., Ms., Miss等。
3.Body:正文。求职信的正文通常由四个部分组成:
●开头部分:写信的目的。直截了当地表达对招聘信息中所提供的职位感兴趣,包括如何获知该职位的招聘信息。
●第二部分:推销自己。阐述与职位要求相关的资历、能力、技能和经验,但在求职信中要做到言简意赅,详细信息应该放在个人简历中。
●第三部分:人品介绍并提供联络方式。陈述自己所具备的工作所需的品质,提供手机号码和邮件地址,表达希望尽快得到面试的愿望,并提及随函的附件,如:个人简历或证书等。附件也可以在信的最后提及。
●结尾部分:预先表达你的谢意,希望他们阅读你的求职信并考虑你的应聘。
4.Sincerely:真诚地。这是信尾客套语,与Sincerely yours, Very truly yours的用法相同。通常在写正式的商务信件时用。
5.Encl.:encl.是enclosure(附件)的缩写,说明随本函附上的东西。
