It’s a great idea to plant a tree for your birthday! My birthday is on 28th July. I usually have a party with my friends to celebrate. My mother always makes my favourite chocolate cake. Everyone sings the “Happy Birthday” song, and then I make a wish and blow out the candles. Next, we enjoy the cake, and I open all my gifts. My father marks my height on the door every year. It’s fun to look at the marks later. Next time, I also want to do something different. Any good ideas

Every birthday is a gift of life.
1. How do you make your birthday meaningful
meaningful 形容词 (1) 重要的；重大的
Language points
For me, English is a meaningful language.

(2) 意义明显的；易于理解的
These activities in the club are meaningful.

2. make a wish
(1) make a wish 许愿
It’s easy to make a wish, but it’s difficult to make it come true.

(2) wish 可数名词，意为“愿望；祝福”，常用复数，表示
祝福。

(3) wish 用作动词，意为“希望；祝愿”。

动词不定式 (短语) 作目的状语时可以位于句末，意为 “为了做某事”；也可以位于句首，常用逗号与后面的内容隔开。

6. I make a wish and blow out the candles.
blow (1) 动词 吹；刮
blow out 吹灭 blow away 吹走
The wind is blowing hard. 风刮得很大。
Can you blow out all the candles in one go

height 名词 身高；高度 in height 在高度上
