September the 11th of 2001 was one of the saddest days in recent history for Americans and all people who love peace. On that day, terrorists (恐怖分子) took control of four passenger planes and flew them into the Pentagon (五角大楼——美国国防部所在地) in Virginia and the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York. On May 2 of this year, the US army finally found bin Laden in Pakistan and killed him.
