Have you heard of geocaching It’s an exciting outdoor treasure hunt. “Geo” comes from an ancient Greek word meaning land or Earth. “Cache”, a French word, means a hidden container(容器) of valuable treasure. To play it, you use a smartphone to follow clues(线索) to find a hidden container — the “cache”. This is usually a small box and it’s often hidden near trees or buildings, and some landmarks are also good choices to hide it. Inside, there are often some little toys or gifts.
Geocaching was first created in 2000, and since then, millions of people all around the world have played it. Caches are usually hidden outdoors, so geocaching is really popular with people of all ages who enjoy the outdoors and discovering new places.
When geocaching first started, people used computers to get directions to the caches. Now, they use their smartphones. In 2013, a geocaching company brought out the first geocaching app, and since then, a number of apps have become available.
To play, go online and choose a geocaching app. After you’ve got the app to your smartphone, you will see a list of caches in your area. With some apps, you can even make a payment to see more challenging caches. But generally, geocaching is free to play.
There are some golden rules of geocaching. Firstly, pay more attention to the environment. Don’t break plants and never leave rubbish. Make sure you’re allowed to be in the area. Next, be safe! There have been some serious accidents since geocaching first started. So don’t go geocaching alone. If you think some places are dangerous, avoid them.

Training a traditional guide dog can cost as much as 200,000 yuan, and there are fewer than 200 guide dogs in China. And of course that can’t meet the needs of the visually impaired(视力受损) people in our country. Luckily, good news comes! AI guide dogs may soon help those people thanks to researchers from Northwestern Polytechnical University. They achieved a breakthrough(突破) using an AI language model.
The researchers are developing an AI guide dog that can help visually impaired people cross streets, use lifts and navigate(导航) indoor spaces without having to be connected to the internet.
“Though in recent years there have been some electronic navigation aids, such as electronic navigation hats, electronic navigation walking sticks, and electronic guide dogs, they cannot have conversations with people or fully understand human instructions,” said Sun Zhe, a teacher at a university. “They can only carry out tasks according to pre-deployed(预设的) programs. They are just cold machines. That’s not enough.” “Our research makes it possible to provide better guidance services, especially emotional companionship(情感陪伴), for visually impaired people,” Sun added. “Visually impaired people face countless challenges in daily life, including navigation difficulties and safety problems. AI guide dogs using the language model can talk with them so that they can offer those people more convenient and safer navigation, improving their quality of life.”
The research team began developing the smart guide dog based on the language model at the end of February this year. “There are many things to do to improve the AI guide dogs before they can be put into use,” Sun said. “We will put more effort into it and make it available to those in need as soon as possible.”
23. What does the underlined word “that” in the first paragraph refer to
A. The cost of training guide dogs.
B. The ways of training guide dogs.
C. The number of trained guide dogs.
24. What makes AI guide dogs different from other electronic navigation aids
A. They can carry out tasks after being set programs.
B. They can help avoid getting hurt indoors with the help of Internet.
C. They can talk with visually impaired people with a language model.
25. What can we infer from Sun Zhe’s words
A. AI guide dogs can communicate with humans freely.
B. Visually impaired people are pleased with AI guide dogs these days.
C. There is still some way to go before the AI guide dogs become perfect.
26. What is the main purpose of the passage
A. To introduce the new technology that can help visually impaired people.
B. To make us know about emotional(情感) needs of visually impaired people.
C. To discuss how to better solve the problems that visually impaired people have.

阅读下面短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
When I deicide to buy a house in Europe ten years ago, I didn’t think for very long. I liked traveling in France, but when it came to picking my favorite spot to live, Italy was the clear winner.
During my first visit to Italy, I could hardly ask for directions or order in a restaurant. But every time I tried to put Italian words together to make a sentence, the local people smiled at me and praised(称赞) my language skills. That encouragement helped me not to be afraid of speaking Italian anymore and I started to fall in love with the country. After I made Italy my permanent(永久的) home, I quickly discovered how warm-hearted Italians are. My neighbors bring me freshly made cheese and come to my door to remind me to close my car windows when it’s about to rain. These small acts of kindness do make a new country feel like home.
As a food lover, the way to my heart is through my stomach, and nowhere fuels my appetite(激发我的胃口) like Italy. Each family has its own traditional dish. Families usually gather for big meals on Sundays, birthdays and whatever other excuses they can come up with. These meals are always full of laughter and joy. Whatever disadvantages life in Italy might have, the problems are forgotten once you sit down to have a big meal with friends and family.
I think this is the meaning of life: live where you love, spend time with people you like and do what you enjoy!
