Dear Peter,
I'm glad to receive your letter where you asked me about a Tang poem-Sympathy for Farmers.The
poem by Li Shen is popular with folk literary readers.
This poem that is made up of four lines is not complicated to recite.It has vivid pictures:Hot as it is
outside at noon in summer,the farmers are still working in the fields.They are wet all over with their
sweat falling into the soil,where the crops grow.But who knows all the delicious dishes on our table
come from the hard work of farmers
The poem reminds people of the farmers'hard work.I think it's of great importance for the young to
understand the poem and treasure every grain.

Before he realized it,Hector found himself standing in Mr.Adler's room.At the sight of
Hector,Mr.Adler mumbled in a worried voice "Where did I put that sheet of Fifth Grade
Geography Bee Questions and Answers "Hearing this,Hector flushed and lowered his head,trying
to avoid eye-contact with Mr.Adler.Noticing the nervousness on his face,Mr.Adler came over and
inquired what had happened.At that time,Hector slowly took out the envelope from the pocket,
submitted it to Mr.Adler and confessed that he had cheated by reading the questions on it.To his
surprise,Mr.Adler didn't blame him but instead praised him for his honesty.Instantly,a wave of
relief seized Hector and heavy clouds haunting over him were cleared away.
The next day the entire school came to watch the Fifth Grade Geography Bee.Having been up
late studying,Hector looked exhausted but extremely excited.So did the other competitors.All the
eyes fixed on the stage,Hector felt blood rushing onto his cheeks and his heart beating fast.
Unfortunately,the questions Mr.Adler rewrote were so tough that he was knocked out in round three.
But Hector realized to his surprise that he didn't feel bad about losing at all.Whether others knew he
was smart was of no significance.He'd set out to learn everything about the world and ended up
learning more about himself.
