Step 1Lead in Show some pictures and let Ss practice the sentence pattern: Which...would you like,... or... Watch some pictures and review the sentences.
Step 2 Pre-listening Present the pictures in 2a and let ss observe and answer the questions:What dish do you know on the table Do you think the meal is healthy Which dish do you like best Look at the picture in 2a and answer the questions.
Step 3 While-listening 1. Play the tape and let Ss circle the coloured words they hear.2. Ask Ss to listen again and pay attention to the intonation in the alternative questions. 1.Listen to the tape and circle the words you hear. 2.Listen to the tape and repeat.
Step 4 Post-listening 1. Let Ss read the conversation carefully and finish the table in 2b.2. Show some key words and let Ss retell the conversation.3. Lead Ss read the conversation again and analyze the structure and sentence patterns of 2a.4. Let Ss work with partner to write down the food and drink they would like to order at a restaurant.5.
