一、句子种类
英语的句子按照用途可以分为陈述句、疑问句、祈使句和感叹句四种。
1.陈述句:用来陈述一个事实或者表示说话人的看法,包含肯定句和否定句两种。
2.疑问句:用来提出疑问,包含一般疑问句、选择疑问句、特殊疑问句和反意疑问句四种。
3.祈使句:用来表示命令请求或者建议,有肯定式和否定式。
4.感叹句:表示说话时的惊异、喜悦、赞赏、愤怒等感情,主要由what和how两个词引导。
请阅读下面关于祈使句和感叹句的用法,然后整理成思维导图。

二、祈使句基础用法梳理
祈使句主要用来表达命令、请求、劝告、警告、禁止和建议等的句子。
Go and wash your hands.(命令)
Be quiet,please.(请求)
Don’t judge a person by looks.(劝告、建议)
Danger!(警告)
No littering.(禁止)
祈使句因对象(即主语)是第二人称,所以通常都省略,但也可把主语you表达出来,主要是强调对象、确定对象,如:You go and tell him, Kris.
祈使句的动词都为原形,以句号或者感叹号结尾。
祈使句主要包含五种句型结构:
第一种:Do型祈使句
1.肯定形式:实义动词原形 (+宾语+其他),如:
Close the door.
Turn down the TV.
Read the instructions carefully.
2.否定形式:Don’t+实义动词原形(+宾语+其他),有时使用never。如:
Don’t run in the street.
Don’t be late again!
Never do that again!
第二种:Be型祈使句
1.肯定形式:Be+表语(+其他),如:
Be quiet, please.
Be a good boy.
2.否定形式:Don’t+be+表语(+其他),如:
Don’t be late for school.
Don’t be afraid.
第三种:Let型祈使句
1.肯定形式:Let+宾语+动词原形 (+其他),如:
Let her go there by bus.
Let us go home.(请求对方允许自己做某事,这里的us不包含听话对方在内;其反意疑问句为:Let us go home, will you )
Let’s start early.(用于提出建议,表达说话人和说话的对象一起做某事;其反意疑问句为:Let’s start early, shall we )
2.否定形式:Don’t+let+宾语+动词原形 (+其他)或者Let+宾语+not+动词原形 (+其他),如:
Don’t let him go out this morning.
Let’s not eat junk food too much.
第四种:No型祈使句
1.No+名词.如:
No photos! (禁止拍照!)
No dogs allowed.(狗禁止入内!)
2.No+动名词.如:
No smoking!
No eating or drinking!
第五种:无动词祈使句
主要是以形容词、副词、名词构成的祈使句。
Quickly!(快点吧!)
Eyes front!(向前看!)
三、感叹句基础用法梳理
感叹句有多种表现形式,有时一个单词、短语或一个词组也可成为感叹句。如:
Awesome! (太棒了!类似意义的词还有:Bravo! Fantastic!)
Come on! (加油!)
Good heavens! (天哪!)
有时陈述句、疑问句以及祈使句也可以转化成感叹句,如:
That hurts!
Who the hell are you
Don’t be so stupid!
尽管感叹句的表现形式多种多样,但主要的表现形式只有两种,即what和how引导的感叹句。
(一)What引导的感叹句。
① What+a/an+(形容词)+可数名词单数 / 名词词组+主语+谓语!如:
What a fine day it is!
② What+(形容词)+可数名词复数+主语+谓语!如:
What stupid things you say!
What kind women they are!
③ What+(形容词)+不可数名词+主语+谓语!如:
What fine weather it was yesterday!
What nice music it is!
(二)How引导的感叹句。
① How+形容词(副词)+主语+谓语!
How clever the girl is!
How quickly the boy is writing!
② How+主语+谓语!
How time flies!
How I loved him!
(三)两点注意:
① how与what引导的感叹句一般情况下可以相互转换,转换后意义
不变。
What an interesting story it is!=How interesting the story is!
② 在口语中,感叹句的主语和谓语常常省略。
What a nice present!(省略it is)
How disappointed!(省略she is或其他可作本句主、谓语的词语)

Tips:
感叹句表示强烈的感情,可起到强调的作用,这在个人信件和广告中经常使用。但感叹句不可滥用。当这种强烈的感情到处使用,强调的作用会被明显弱化。有些时候祈使句也会用叹号结尾,此时语气加强了许多,要慎用,更加要避免在祈使句中用两个甚至多个感叹号。

1.receive的用法
receive为及物动词,意为 “接待;招待”。 receive 还可以表示 “接到;收到”,与get 同义,其后可接介词 from。

receive“收到”,强调客观上收到这一事实,不表明是否愿意接
受;accept“接受”,主动地或自愿地接受,带有“满意;同意;认可”等意味,其反义词为refuse。

2.spend的用法

3.eager的用法

(2)用于 “be eager for sth.” 结构,表示 “渴望得到某物;热切盼望某物”。

4.devote oneself to的用法
devote oneself to意为 “献身于;致力于;专心于”。这个短语中的oneself是反身代词,根据主语的不同而变化,其中to是介词,后面需要接名词、代词或者动名词(v.-ing 形式)。

5.inspire的用法

6.look up to 的用法

7.be able to的用法

8.put out的用法

Einstein
Albert Einstein was a physicist who developed the general theory of relativity (广义相对论).He is one of the most famous and important scientists of the 20th century.

Einstein was born on March 14,1879,in Germany.His father was a salesman and an engineer.He built a company to produce electrical machines.Little Einstein showed great interest in those machines made in the company.Einstein’s mother ran the family housework.Einstein had one sister,Maja,born two years after him.
Towards the end of the 1880s,Max Talmud,who sometimes had dinner with the Einstein family,became a family teacher to young Einstein.Talmud had introduced Einstein to a children’s science book.It led Einstein to his dream about the science of light.
In 1905,Einstein wrote four papers in the Annalen der Physik,one of the best-known physics newspapers at that time.Before that,at his age of 21,he had written his first famous article.Later in 1921,Einstein won the Nobel Prize in Physics.But because some other scientists still had questions about his ideas,he didn’t get the prize that year until the following year.
As a physicist,Einstein had many famous findings,but he is perhaps best known for E=mc2,which leads to the development of atomic power and the atomic bomb (原子弹).
Einstein died on April 18,1955,aged 76.When he was badly ill,he was taken to the hospital but he didn’t want to get an operation.He believed that he had lived his life.“I want to go when I need to,” he said at the time.“I have done my share and it is time to go.”

The famous Chinese composer (作曲家),Nie Er,was born on February 15th,1912 in Kunming,Yunnan Province.The song March of the Volunteers which we learn at the beginning of primary school is composed by Nie Er.
He was talented in music.He learned to play many instruments by himself,such as Sanxian and Erhu.He was very good at imitating(模仿) all kinds of voices and sounds that came to his ears.So people started calling him Mr.“Ears”,which is “Er” in Chinese.He liked this name so much that he decided to change his name Nie Shouxin to Nie Er.
Nie Er is most known for March of the Volunteers,which was created as the theme song for the film Children of Trouble Time.The film is a story of people fighting against the Japanese in northeast China in the 1930s.Nie Er produced the song together with his friend,the lyric(歌词) writer Tian Han.He focused on the work and finished the first draft (草稿) within only two days.
His music has shown great concern for the times and the country.The Song of Newspaper Boy tells the story of a little boy selling newspapers.It presents the life of children in old China and their longing for a better life.The Graduation Song called up young people to join patriotic (爱国的) movements and shoulder duty for the country and the people.He is known as “the people’s musician”.

From old times to today,poets (诗人) have been seen as creative,talented and full of feelings.Can you believe that a person with only a high school diploma (文凭),doing the most dangerous work as a miner (矿工),could write touching poems (诗歌)
Chen Nianxi was born in a mountain village of Shaanxi.He was always dreaming of being a poet when he was young.He liked reading poems in the newspapers and magazines and wrote his first poem when he was in high school.
After high school,Chen went back home and worked on the farm.He had a family a few years later.To make more money for the whole family,he took up working in a mine (矿场).For more than 15 years,he worked hard during the day,while reading and writing poems at night.
Many other miners died because of the dangerous work.Chen also lost the hearing in his right ear.His job is full of danger.All of them were put in his poems,making him a very famous poet in China.He has written several books so far.
Chen lives a hard life,but his poems have a feeling of hope.He writes about his work and life filled with love.He tries hard to tell us that no matter how hard life is,we shouldn’t forget our dreams.He hopes that his poems will help people open their minds to the lives of others and advise them to care about people who live a hard life.
