Step1 Lead-in
Hello, everyone! Welcome back to our English class. Today, we're going to explore an important grammar point. Before we start, let's talk about sports. You know, sports are very popular among us. Many students have their own sports plans.
Look at the school sports meeting poster. It's coming soon. What sports events do you want to take part in Maybe you want to run fast in the 100 - meter race, or show your strength in the shot - put event.
Now, let's share our sports plans with each other.
Q: Tom, what are you going to do in the sports meeting
A: I will run in the 400 - meter race. I've been training hard, and I'm sure I can get a good result.
Q: Great! How about you, Mary
A: I'm going to take part in the long jump. I like jumping, and I hope I can jump far.
Q: That sounds interesting. And you, Jack
A: I'm about to sign up for the basketball game. Our team is going to practice a lot to win.
Q: Good luck to your team. What about you, Lucy
A: I'll cheer for my classmates. I'll make some posters to support them.
Step 2 Presentation
Ok, boys and girls, let's look at these sentences we just heard:
- I will run in the 400 - meter race.
- I'm going to take part in the long jump.
- I'm about to sign up for the basketball game.
- I'll cheer for my classmates.
Let's analyze them.
**(1) “will/shall + 动词原形”**
“will” 用于各种人称,表示单纯的将来事实,常含有“预见”“意愿”等含义。“shall”常用于第一人称(I/we),在现代英语中,“will”使用更为普遍。例如:I will go to the library tomorrow.(表示预见明天会去图书馆) ;He will help you if you ask him.(表示意愿)
**(2) “be going to + 动词原形”**
通常表示事先经过考虑、安排好打算要做的事情,或者有迹象表明即将发生的事情。例如:It's cloudy. It's going to rain.(有迹象表明要下雨);We're going to have a party this weekend.(事先安排好的计划)
**(3) “be about to + 动词原形”**
