教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材(中等职业学校公共基础课程教材)《英语基础模块1》中Unit 5 Celebrations的热身(Warming Up)和听说(Listening and Speaking)板块,要求学生熟悉用于提出和接受邀请的常用语句,能够谈论聚会的活动安排并通过电话邀请他人参加庆祝活动。
学情分析 在学生的成长过程中,各式庆祝活动随处可见。学生也了解常见聚会活动的安排。学生会使用邀请参加庆祝活动相关的一些常用词汇和句型,如“Would you like to come to my birthday party ”和“I’d love to.”等,但多数学生仍不能根据实际需要就聚会活动的安排用英语自如交谈,不太会表述英文邀请函。因此,教师应设置真实的情境,引导学生由简单到复杂,由机械模仿到替换练习,再到语言实践,最终完成与庆祝活动相关的情景对话。

学习重难点 教学重点:Be able to make oral invitations by using the common vocabulary and sentence patterns for giving and accepting invitations. 教学难点:Be able to skillfully use the vocabulary and sentence patterns for discussing information such as the time, place and activity arrangements of a gathering to complete a situational dialogue of making an oral invitation to a celebration activity.

Step 2: Listening 1.Listen and tick. Before listening, students read the options to predict the content of the listening material. Then listen to the recording to identify the scene where the dialogue takes place. After listening, the teacher checks and gives feedback. Hello, Mr Smith. This is Li Mei from ABC Shopping. 2.Listen and decide. Before listening, ask the students to read the memo first to understand the missing parts. Then play the listening material and let the students fill in the missing words. Finally, check the answers. I’ll be there . (提出和接受邀请) 1.Understand the meaning of each option, listen to the recording carefully, and identify the correct scene. 2.Pay attention to details. Listen to the dialogues and judge whether the descriptions are correct or not. 3.First, read the memo to understand the information about the theme, date, and location of the opening ceremony that needs to be filled in. Then fill in the missing words to complete the task. 4.Read the dialogue and master the key words correctly. By training students to predict the content of the listening material with the help of questions and options, and to extract the required information and judge its correctness during the listening process, the aim is to enhance students' abilities to extract key information and conduct language interaction. Meanwhile, it also prepares them for the language output in the next stage.
Step 3: Dialogue learning Listen、read and underline. 1)The teacher introduces the background of the dialogue. It’s a great game to 1.Listen to the recording and follow it by imitating the pronunciation and intonation. Then underline the key communicative sentences that discuss the arrangement of activities. 2.Understand the important language points and take notes. Find out the sentences related to the time arrangement through listening and reading, analyze the key phrases and expressions, and master the basic language expressions about discussing activity arrangements, so as to make language preparations for the subsequent situational output.
Step 4: Speaking Imitate and practice. 1)Read the given information and practice the dialogue with a partner. Know how to arrange activities for a party. 2)Create your own dialogue and then perform it in front of the whole class. 3)The teacher gives an example. 2.Role play. 1)The teacher presents the dialogue scene. Students read the relevant information (including activities and background music) and list the sentences that might be used. 2)The teacher demonstrates the dialogue. Learn the given information to prepare for the dialogue. 2)Have a dialogue with classmates and present it in front of the whole class. 3)Write a new dialogue, recommend party activities and background music, and welcome your partner to the welcome banquet. Practice with your classmates. Through activities such as following and reading the key sentence patterns in the model, and imitating practice by replacing key words, students can master the basic language expressions about discussing activity arrangements. It also cultivates students' language interaction abilities and thinking abilities.
