教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材(中等职业学校公共基础课程教材)《英语基础模块1》中unit 6 Food and Drinks的热身(Warming Up)和听说(Listening and Speaking)板块,听说部分,要求学生能在对话交际中获得关于饮食的信息,并谈论与饮食相关的内容。
学情分析 饮食是和学生生活息息相关的话题。对于一些常见的饮食表达,如dumpling和steak,学生有一定了解,也能用简单句式I like/I hate表达喜好。但对更多种类饮食的谈论能力有限。此外,针对服务类专业学生,也需要提升其提供点餐服务的职场语言沟通能力。因此需要激发学生兴趣,引导学生从语言输入到输出,从跟读模仿,到控制性练习,最后到点餐情境下的有效语言交际。
学习目标 知识目标: 1.学习一些单词短语 restaurant /spicy/take one’s order /recommend /steak /specialty /mushroom/cuisine/rare/medium/well-done/variety 2.学习相关的句型,如:Can I take your order now /What would you like to have /How would you like … /What about … /What do you recommend /Would you like to try … 能力目标: 1.Be able to express food preferences. 2.Be able to order food (including dishes and drinks) in a restaurant. 情感目标: Know some manners when ordering food.
学习重难点 教学重点:Be able to inquire about and express preferences for common Chinese and Western cuisines. 教学难点:Be able to skillfully use the vocabulary and sentence patterns for describing the names, tastes and characteristics of food and drinks to complete the communicative activities in the context of ordering meals.

Step 1: Warming up 1.Lead in. 1)Guide the students to conduct paired activities. Look at the pictures and say the English names of the foods. Dumplings/mineral water/chicken/steak/tomato and egg soup/Mapo Tofu/baozi/pudding/tancuyu/ Salad/orange juice... 2.Choose and talk. 1)Select pictures and express your preferences for things. Useful sentence patterns: I like chicken. /I’m a big chicken lover. I don’t like chicken. /I can’t stand chicken. 2)补充:I love… /… is my favorite/ I hate… 3.Discuss and list. 1)Guide the students to list the foods and drinks according to their tastes. salty: dumplings/chicken/steak/baozi sweet:pudding/tancuyu/salad/orange juice sour:tancuyu/tomato and egg soup spicy:Mapo Tofu 2)Practice expressing preferences for foods by combining different tastes of the foods. I love the spicy taste of Mapo Tofu. Tancuyu is sweet and sour.I like it best. My favorite is pudding which is sweet. 4.单词 spicy adj.辣的 salty adj. 咸的 sweet adj. 甜的 sour adj.酸的 补充: sweet:“甜” sugary:甜得腻人 bitter:苦味 hot:辣、热辣感 delicious:美味的 tasty与 “delicious” 类似, fragrant香味 greasy:油腻, light不油腻,清爽 mild:温和、不刺激 crispy:酥 1.The students carry out pair work. Look at the pictures and say the English names of the foods. 2.Select pictures to practice expressing preferences for foods and drinks. I like ________. I’m a big_______ lover. I don’t like _____. I can’t stand ____. 2)Supplement sentence patterns. I love__________. ____is my favorite. I hate___________. 3.Talk about the tastes of food in English and list them in the correct forms. Then combine different tastes to practice expressing preferences for food. 通过图片抢答游戏,引出与食物及饮料相关的词汇,再结合句型,选择图片练习如何表达喜好,激发学习兴趣,导入本课主题。 据食物口味分类,载选择图片中的食物,描述其口味以及对该食物的喜好。为之后的听说活动做准备。
Step 2: Listening 1.Listen and tick. 1)Before playing the listening materials, let the students get to know the relevant pictures first and predict the scenarios. Then, have them practice listening and guide the students to tick the correct options according to the key information. A restaurant a canteen or a dinning room a kitchen and dinning room
Li Xiaonian invites his co-workers to his home for lunch. 2.Listen and choose. Guide the students to read the sentences. Pay attention to the key information in each option. Then play the listening materials to grasp these key information. Which one does Mary like best? 3.Listen and complete. Before listening, ask the students to read the diary first to understand the missing parts. Then play the listening material and let the students fill in the missing words and check the answers. Also, have them get familiar with some sentences. I love the sweet and sour taste of this fish!Do you have time on November 8th That’s before I tasted jiaozi! No, it’s too spicy. 4.Show the dialogue. Show the listening materials to the students and guide them to look for the key information. Help them get to know some words and phrases. restaurant n. 餐馆 spicy adj. 辣的 (Expressions of food preferences) I love the sweet and sour taste of this fish! I like jiaozi best! Aren’t you a big pizza lover That’s before I tasted jiaozi! It’s much softer and more delicious. It’s too spicy. 1.The students understand the meaning of each picture and then obtain the correct plan by listening. 2.Read the sentences. Then Listen to dialogue,master key information. Select the correct answers. I like jiaozi best! Read the diary to figure out the missing parts. Then listen to the materials to fill in the missing words . home,sweet,sour,pizza,spicy 4.Listen again and read the listening materials, paying attention to the key information.
Learn and remember some expressions. 通过图片选项预测对话发生的场所。然后听录音,捕捉细节,理解听力梗概。 阅读选项信息,结合图片进行初步判断。然后听录音,抓关键词,判断Mary最喜欢的食物。 浏览给出的日记,综合活动3和活动4的信息,以及对日记中空缺部分前后文的意义,推测需填入的内容,如:聚餐地点、食物的味道、菜名。在听的过程中提取所需信息,补全日记。 呈现听力原文,视觉核对在听力中搜获信息,核对单词书写是否正确,巩固对话中对食物偏好的表达方式。
Step 3: Dialogue learning Listen、read and underline. 1)Listen to the recording. Read the dialogue in pairs and underline the sentences used for ordering food in the restaurant. Then check the answers.
2) Analyze and summarize the key words, phrases and sentence patterns. take one’s order 点菜 recommend v.推荐;建议 steak n.牛排 specialty n.特色菜,特色 mushroom n.蘑菇 1.Read the dialogue and find out the sentences that can be used for ordering food in the restaurant, and underline them. 2.Understand the important language points and take notes. 本环节设计了为两位顾客点餐的口语表达活动,通过听、读找出有关点餐相关的语句,分析重点短语和表达,掌握关于饭店点餐的基本语言表达,为接下来的情境输出做语言准备。
Step 4: Speaking Imitate and practice. 1)Read the given menu and practice the dialogue with your partner. Learn how to order food in a restaurant and ensure a balanced diet. 2)Write your own dialogue and then act it in front of the whole class. 3)The teacher give examples. 2.Role-play 1)According to the instructions in the question, present each one clearly so that the readers can quickly understand the specific requirements of each step. read the menu and think about what to order. Instruction two, based on instruction one, requires writing a dialogue and performing it, showing a progressive relationship. Instruction three mentions that the teacher will provide examples for students to refer to. 1.1)Learn the given information to prepare for the dialogue. 2)Have a dialogue with your classmates and act it in front of the whole class. 2. Present the content of the instructions in a clear expression. 通过跟读范本中的重点句型、替换关键词模仿练习等活动,使学生掌握关于谈论活动安排的基本语言表达。培养学生语言交互能力和思维能力。
Step 5: Summary 1. restaurant n. 餐馆 e.g:The restaurant is upstairs.餐厅在楼上。 2. spicy adj. 辣的 (hot) spicy strip 辣条 spicy hot pot 辣火锅 spicy girl 辣妹 3. take one’s order 点菜 e.g:May/Can I take your order 你准备好点菜了吗? 4. recommend v.推荐;建议 e.g:I'll recommend you for a promotion.我会推荐你晋升。 What do you recommend 您推荐什么? 5. steak n.牛排 e.g:How would you like your steak cooked 您的牛排要几分熟? 在吃西餐的时候,经常会用到这句话,“几分熟”可以理解成“要做成什么样”。 所以用英语表示就是:How would you like your steak cooked 在吃牛排的时候,总会涉及到“几分熟”的问题:三分熟牛排(rare)、五分熟牛排(medium)、全熟牛排(well done) 6. specialty n.特色菜,特色 e.g:Here is the menu for specialty,Sir. 这是特色菜单,先生。 This is our specialty. 这是我们的特色。 7. mushroom n.蘑菇 e.g:There are many types of wild mushroom. 野生蘑菇的种类很多。
Step 6: Homework 1.Design an English menu that combines Chinese and Western cuisines with a balance of meat and vegetables and a nutritionally balanced composition. 2.Write a dialogue for ordering food in a restaurant for your foreign friend. 3.Memorize the words and expressions for ordering food.
