For me, my favorite animals are pandas. And Fu Bao, a panda travels to Korea has been one of the most famous pandas among the world.
We like Fu Bao because she is very adorable and charming.
We like Fu Bao because her birth is very meaningful to us.
The panda is not only our national treasure, but also a symbol of the friendly diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Pandas used to be in great danger because of human activities, like cutting down forests and losing their homes.
To protect pandas, Research bases were created and experts were assigned to care for them in captivity.

2. cut down的用法
cut down 砍倒；砍伐，是一个由动词+副词构成的短语，如果是名词作宾语可以位于cut和down之间。也可以位于down之后。如果是代词作宾语，只能位于cut和down中间。
e.g. 人们砍伐了很多树木，所以大象正在失去它们的家园。

4. 现在进行时的用法
现在进行时表示现在进行的动作或存在的状态。现在进行时表示动作发生的时间是“现在，此时此刻”，动作目前的状态是“正在进行中”。
句子结构：主语+ be+ 动词-ing+ 其他，常常与now, right now, at the moment, at present ,these days等时间连用。
e.g. 他们正在听光盘。

5. 辨析wish和hope的用法
（1）wish v. 希望，表示某种强烈而又难以实现的愿望。
①wish to do sth. 希望做某事
e.g. 朱辉很想念他的家人，还希望吃到他妈妈包的美味粽子。

②wish sb. to do sth. 希望做某事
e.g. 我希望你能得一等奖。

6. 询问天气
对于询问天气的回答通常是用表示天气状况的形容词，如：sunny, hot, windy, rainy, cloudy, snowy等，因此提问时要用到How来构成特殊疑问句。

—It is + 表示天气状况的形容词

7. 电话中的习惯用语
①电话里自我介绍：不用I am…，用This is…(speaking)/ It’s…(speaking)/ …(speaking)，表示“我是…”
e.g. 你好，我是里克。 —你好，里克。我是史蒂夫。

②电话里询问对方身份：不用Who are you 用Who’s that (speaking) 表示“你是谁”或者Is that… 表示“你是…吗？”
7. 电话中的习惯用语
e.g. 你是谁？ —我是莉莉。

③电话里想和某人通话时：用May I speak to… please 表示“我可以和…通话吗？”或者Is…there, please 表示“…在吗？”
e.g. 你好，我可以和莉莉通话吗？ —抱歉，她不在家。

8. 辨析：message, news, information
①message: 消息；信息，是可数名词，一般指口头传递或书写的消息。
常用短语：take a message 捎个口信
leave a message 留口信
e.g. 莉莉现在不在家，要我给她带个口信吗？

②news:新闻；消息，是不可数名词，多指来自电视、报纸等媒体的最新消息。
e.g. 贵州山火的消息让我们都感到担忧。
The news of the fore in Guizhou makes us very worried.
若要表示一则新闻消息，则需要借助词组a piece of，若这个短语与不可数名词构成的短语在句中作主语，谓语动词的单复数形式取决于piece的单复数形式。
8. 辨析：message, news, information
③information:信息；消息，是不可数名词，指在阅读、观察、谈话或者书信中特别关注的消息或资料等。
e.g. 如果你想要了解更多的消息，请给我打电话。

9. have a great time的用法
have a great time 玩的开心，与它同义的表达还有：
have a good/nice/wonderful/great time, have fun, enjoy oneself
常用短语：have a great time doing sth. 做某事很开心
e.g. 我正在加拿大探望我姑姑，玩的很开心。
I’m having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada.
10. 反义疑问句的用法
反义疑问句由两部分构成：陈述部分+反义疑问部分，反义疑问句的使用和回答分为两种情况：
①前肯后否
若陈述部分是肯定句，则疑问部分用否定形式。
e.g. 现在你国家那边的天气很热，是不是？

②前否后肯
若陈述部分是否定句，则疑问部分用肯定形式。
e.g. 他不喜欢这部电影，对吗？

陈述句部分如果含有情态动词，疑问部分就用青苔动词来构成，含有be动词，就用be动词来构成，若既没有情态动词也没有be动词，就要借助助动词来构成反义疑问部分。
10. 反义疑问句的用法
It’s hot in your country now, isn’t is
—是的，很热。/不，不热。
He doesn’t like the movie, does he
—是的，他不喜欢。/不，他喜欢。
Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t.
No, he doesn’t./ Yes, he does.
回答反义疑问句时，不管是前肯后否还是前否后肯，都要按照实际情况来回答，只是在把句子翻译为中文时，前否后肯句子的答语要反过来翻译。
11. 辨析：across, cross, through, over
①across: prep. 穿过，指从物体的表面穿过，着重指从一边到另一边。
e.g. 他每天都帮老奶奶过马路，真是太善良了。
It’s so kind of him to help the old women go across the road every day.
across from 表示“在…对面”，表示某物体的位置。

②cross: v. 横过，越过，指从物体的表面穿过=go across
③through: prep. 穿过，主要是指从物体的内部穿过
