◆anything / eniθ / pron. 任何事物;某事物
(1) anything是不定代词,表示“某物”“某东西”时,主要用于否定句,疑问句及条件句中,用以代替something;表示“任何事物”“任何东西”时,主要用于肯定句。
*We can’t believe anything he says.我们不能相信他说的事。
*I want something to eat, and anything will do.
我想弄点东西吃,什么都行。
(2)anything作主语时,谓语动词用单数。

一、选择疑问句
1.基本用法与结构
选择疑问句是指提供两种或多种情况供对方选择的疑问句。其表现形式可以是一般疑问句形式,也可以是特殊疑问句形式,选项之间要用连词or连接。
2.一般疑问句形式
一般疑问句形式的选择疑问句由“一般疑问句 + or + 选择部分”构成。
*Are you a doctor or a teacher
你是医生还是教师
3.特殊疑问句形式
特殊疑问句形式的选择疑问句由“特殊疑问句,选项A + or + 选项B”构成。
*How shall we go, on foot or by bus
我们怎么去,走路去还是坐公共汽车去
4.选择疑问句的回答:
(1)回答选择疑问句时,一般在所提供的备选对象范围内选择,可用一个完整的陈述句回答,但口语中常用简略回答形式,主语和谓语均可省略。
(2)有时也要视具体情况作灵活处理,但不能用Yes / No来回答。答语中常用的不定代词有all(三者或三者以上都), both(二者都),either(二者中任意之一), neither (二者都不),none(三者或三者以上都不)。在运用时要由上下文的语境来决定使用哪一个不定代词。

二、可数名词与不可数名词
1.名词的数
可数名词 名词本身所表示的人或事物是可以直接用数目来计算的
不可数名词 名词本身所表示的事物一般不能直接用数目来计算
2.可数名词
(1)可数名词有单数和复数之分。表示“一个”时用单数,和不定冠词a/an连用;表示“超过一个”时用复数。
*I have an apple, two oranges and many strawberries.
我有一个苹果、两个橙子,还有许多草莓。
(2)规则的可数名词变复数的规律:
构成方式 举例
一般在词尾加-s bowl—bowls carrot—carrots
以s,x,sh,ch结尾的加-es box—boxes watch—watches
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的词,把y变i,再加-es dictionary—dictionaries library—libraries family—families
以f或fe结尾的词,一般把f或fe变为v,再加-es leaf—leaves wife—wives life—lives knife—knives
以o结尾的可数名词 有生命的加-es tomato—tomatoes potato—potatoes
无生命的加-s photo—photos radio—radios
3.不可数名词
不可数名词一般没有复数形式,不能与不定冠词a/an连用,如果想表示数量,可以用名词的单位词的单复数来表示。常用的单位词有piece, cup, glass, bottle, pair等。

4.既可作可数名词也可作不可数名词的词
有些名词既可作可数名词也可作不可数名词,有时意义上有很大区别。

1.基本用法与结构
选择疑问句是指提供两种或多种情况供对方选择的疑问句。其表现形式可以是一般疑问句形式,也可以是特殊疑问句形式,选项之间要用连词or连接。

一般疑问句形式的选择疑问句由“一般疑问句 + or + 选择部分”构成。
