表示 “两者中的任何一个”,用于肯定句
作主语:
Either of the books is interesting. 这两本书中的任何一本都很有趣。
作宾语:
You can choose either. 你可以选择两者中的任何一个。
作定语:
You can take either road. 你可以走两条路中的任何一条。
either...or... 要么…… 要么……;或者…… 或者……

表示 “两者都不”,是否定意义
作主语:
Neither of them is a teacher. 他们两个都不是老师。
作宾语:
I like neither of the movies. 这两部电影我都不喜欢。
作定语:
Neither book is mine. 这两本书都不是我的。
neither...nor... 既不…… 也不……

表示 “三者或三者以上都不”,可指人也可指物。
常与 of 连用,作主语时,谓语动词可用单数也可用复数
作主语:
None of the students has/have finished the homework.
学生们都没有完成作业。
作宾语:
I have many friends, but none of them can help me now.
我有很多朋友,但现在他们中没有一个能帮我。

表示 “两者都”,用于肯定句
作主语:
Both of them are good at English.(他们两个都擅长英语。)
作宾语:
I like both of the paintings.(这两幅画我都喜欢。)
作定语:
Both sisters are doctors.(姐妹俩都是医生。)
both...and... …… 和…… 都;既…… 又……

表示 “三者或三者以上都”,可指人也可指物。作主语时,若指人,谓语动词用复数;若指物,谓语动词用单数
作主语:
All of the students are here. 所有的学生都在这儿。
作宾语:
I know all of them. 他们我都认识。
作定语:
All the books are mine. 所有的书都是我的。
either 与 too
两者都有 “也” 的意思,但 too 用于肯定句,either 用于否定句。
I like swimming. He likes swimming too. 我喜欢游泳。他也喜欢游泳。
I don't like running. She doesn't like running either. 我不喜欢跑步。她也不喜欢跑步。
neither 与 either
either 表示 “两者中的任何一个”,强调个体;both 表示 “两者都”,强调整体。
Either of the boys can play the piano. 两个男孩中的任何一个都会弹钢琴。
Both boys like playing basketball. 两个男孩都喜欢打篮球。
