一般过去时——句式结构
含有实义动词(行为动词)的一般过去时:主语+动词的过去时+其它
(1) 肯定句:主语+动词的过去时+其它。
I bought a yellow dress yesterday afternoon.
昨天下午我买了一条黄裙子。
(2) 否定句:主语+did+not+动词原形+其他(did not 缩写didn't)
I didn't buy a yellow dress yesterday afternoon.
昨天下午我没买黄裙子。
含有be动词的一般过去时:主语+was/were+表语
(3) 一般疑问句:Was/Were+主语+表语。
Were you a doctor one year ago
一年前你是一名医生吗
(4) 疑问词+was/were+主语+其它
What were you one year ago

一般过去时——句式结构
含有实义动词(行为动词)的一般过去时:主语+动词的过去时+其它

一般过去时——句式结构
表示在过去某个时间所发生的动作或所处的状态(与现在无关) 。
常与yesterday, last week, in 2000, just now, a moment ago, the other day 等过去具体时间状语连用。
What did you do yesterday 你昨天做了什么事
在过去一段时间内的经常性或习惯性动作。
We often played together when we were children.
我们小时候常在一起玩。
一般过去时——句式结构
表示主语过去的特征或性格
At that time she was very good at English. 那时她英语学得很好。
一般过去时有时可以表示现在,多与want, hope, wonder, think, intend 等动词连用,使语气更委婉
I wondered if you could help me. 不知你能不能帮我一下。
有时用一般过去时也是时态一致的需要
I didn’t know you were here. 没想到你在这里。
一般过去时——句式结构
系动词be 的过去式有两种形式:
was(am和is的过去式) 和were(are的过去式)
实义动词的过去时分规则动词的过去时和不规则动词的过去时的两种。
规则动词的过去时变化规则:
(1) 一般在动词后加-ed:offer—offered, weigh—weighed,
(2) 在以字母e结尾的动词后,只加-d:provide—provided, hate—hated
(3) 在以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词后,则改y为i,再加ed:supply—supplied, fly—flied
(4) 在以单短元音的重读闭音节结尾且末尾只有一个辅音字母的动词后,双写最后一个辅音字母,
再加-ed:refer—referred, regret—regretted
