Microplastics (微塑料)are so small that we can not see them. But they bring big problems. A new study said that by 2040, microplastic pollution could be twice as bad as it is now. Scientists learned this by looking at 20 years of studies on microplastics.

In Singapore, children go to middle school at the age of twelve. There are two terms in a year. School usually begins in January and finishes in May. The second term lasts from July to November.
Studies usually take middle school students a lot of time. They learn seven to nine subjects each term. They work hard. A few of them go to evening classes after school.
At weekends, they often have enough time to do what they like. Some go to the library to read books. Some lis-ten to pop music. I usually enjoy Hollywood films on weekends. Life for Singapore students is not easy but colorful.
My new friends are all nice to me. I’m looking forward to your visit here next month.

The Great Change in My Growth
As a student in Grade 9, I look back and see many changes in myself. When I first entered the middle school, I used to be shy and quiet. Now, I am more confident and outgoing.
The great change is that I have become more independent. In the past two years, I started to do my own laundry and manage my study time by myself. This change happened gradually as I realized the importance of taking responsibility for my own life.
I am proud of these changes as they show my growth. I believe that I will continue to change and improve in the future.
