Autumn Sports Meet of No.1 Middle School in 2024
Time:

September 26th (opening ceremony)
September 27th Grade Seven (14 classes)
September 29th Grade Nine (18 classes)
September 30th Grade Eight (16 classes)
Place: school playground
Individual (个人的) events:100 metres, 400 metres and 800 metres for boys and girls
Group events:
Long jump relay (接力)for boys and girls (a group with 5 boys or 5 girls)
Ball-throwing relay for boys and girls (a group with 5 boys or 5 girls)
Running relay (a group with 10 boys and 10 girls)
*There must be one teacher in each running group. Men teachers take the place of boys and women teachers take the place of girls.
*For each individual event, each class is limited (限制)to two players. Students who are not suitable for sports cannot take part in any event!
Prizes:
*The top 8 in each event of each grade will win first, second and third prizes.
*Twenty-five percent of the classes will get the “Best Team” prize.

A school sports meet
　　Last Friday, our school held a sports meet in the playground. Our class took part in the basketball games, the high jump and the relay race. Jim is good at the high jump, but he didn’t do well in it. What a shame! In the girls’ relay race, Lucy ran very fast and won first place. We were all excited about that. Three boys were on the basketball team and they also did well.
