My favourite food is chicken. I like chicken because it is a kind of healthy food. My mother cooks chicken three to four times a week, but I don’t get bored of it.
In my family, some people don’t like chicken, but they have to eat it because they don’t have other options (选择). When I go shopping, I always buy a lot of chicken. Many people cook chicken in different ways.
My family had farms in Mexico (墨西哥). So we could eat fresh chicken when we lived in Mexico. The chickens growing up on the farm are very healthy.
Most people like to eat chicken because it is very popular and it is easy to cook. I like to try many kinds of food but chicken is my first option. I love to go to the restaurant with my friends to eat chicken.

My favourite food is dumplings. In China, they have a long history. We often eat them during festivals such as the Spring Festival. They stand for good luck and happiness. To make dumplings, we need to make dough with flour and water first. Next, make fillings with meat and spices. Then, wrap and boil them. I failed many times when I first made them. But now I can make yummy dumplings. Dumplings are really a special food in Chinese culture.
