While the scientist was analyzing data, the biologist was examining samples, and the engineer was fixing equipment, the research assistant was organizing lab materials. He was arranging chemicals and counting equipment. During this time, he was placing the DNA equipment into his bag. The others were focused on their tasks and had no opportunity to steal the equipment.
